Goodness no, I don't think that. I have several students who do, though. If it doesn't directly affect them, they don't care. That's why they don't vote, don't do this, etc. I think it IS selfish and rather narrow minded. They usually don't care about the consequences of their actions either, and it's quite sad.

I HATE liver, but recognize that many people love it. I wouldn't call it poop, I just don't order it. It kind of goes along with the idea that my beliefs are more important than yours, which I don't buy, either.
