i have nothing to do, actually taking a break from studying, i'm watching MTV and this guy has 2 gfs and when he tells one of his gfs that he's been cheating...he's like it's her or me and i love u with all my heart and i want to be with you...i busted out laughing...how pathetic is that?? how sad....what do u think?

I want to ask about the usage of word "yet". What does it mean? Is it just for emphasize or is there any other functions?

My first languange is not english and in my 1st languange there is no word that can substitute the word "yet" in English.

Some example:
"I havent done my homework yet." Can we omit "yet" here?

"Dont buy PS3 - yet". I read it in the newspaper. What that "yet" means?

"Yet another bla bla bla "

Maybe you can give some more example of the usage of "yet"

It is me and my b/f's first christmas. And the few things that I was going to get him, he got a few weeks ago for himself. He has money, so if he wants something, he buys it. Or he puts it on a credit card. He is going to mexico for 2 weeks and is leaving on the 20th. I will be visiting my family during that time in Missouri, and have spoke to someone about having my pictures taken professionally and very cheap... photos maybe??? We can always do it when he gets back, but what do you get for someone who has everything? Sometimes, we have people over and / or go to see friends, family (you know the drill) - Sometimes they will present me or us with a gift and I have nothing to present to them. I feel like a jackass accepting the gift, but I would look bad refusing too. This HAD to have happened to a handful of you - what happened? We have the regular ones - like hauling out the same ornaments year after year - and the littlest family member putting the angel on the top of the tree. But - my sister - on Thanksgiving - positions the uncooked turkey in a stand-up position and makes it do a song and dance. She does it every year and everybody loves to see it. Someone posted a question, rather a statement saying that they didn't believe in miracles anymore. I could understand how one can lose faith by things that might have gone completely wrong, but all you need is the smallest grain of hope & faith to go on. Miracles surround us everyday in every way. Waking up, being able to see the stars in the sky up above, every step we take, every breath we take, every thing that we are able to do in everyday life is a miracle. We might not see it, but in everyway, someone who is less fortunate than we are may envy us. Because even if we don't mean to, we take for granted what we are able to do everyday. Everyday in life is a miracle... Do you agree?

When the apartheid was in South Africa, a lot of cities like Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, etc. used to be really rich, safe and clean, but once that Apartheid ended, everything changed. Black people took over all these cities and the crime and poverty started to increase.I think it was really unfair, because white people were the ones who build those cities! Not blacks. When white people came to South Africa it was a mess. Thanks to white people all this changed for a benefit and blacks seem like they don't really care.
In my personal opinion, i think it would have been better if whites took over ALL SOUTH AFRICA, kick all the blacks out of the country and colonize the country with THEIR PEOPLE, not with the africans.
