Someone posted a question, rather a statement saying that they didn't believe in miracles anymore. I could understand how one can lose faith by things that might have gone completely wrong, but all you need is the smallest grain of hope & faith to go on. Miracles surround us everyday in every way. Waking up, being able to see the stars in the sky up above, every step we take, every breath we take, every thing that we are able to do in everyday life is a miracle. We might not see it, but in everyway, someone who is less fortunate than we are may envy us. Because even if we don't mean to, we take for granted what we are able to do everyday. Everyday in life is a miracle... Do you agree?

There are two types: the birth of my son for example is one type. We can explain it, but it is still a miracle. Everytime I look at him, I know God exists - that to me is a miracle. Just like you said that everyday in life is a miracle.
The other type is unexplainable phenomena - this is really where science vs. religion has its biggest debate. Scientists will always try to explain the unexplainable, while the religious chalks it up to god, and calls it a miracle.
Example: We hear many stories of terminally sick people who self heal thru their faith. Is this a miracle? Scientists cannot explain how they got better, so we call it a miracle. Maybe God gave us the capacity to self-heel, but we don't all know how to use it. Maybe it's just a miracle that we even have that capacity.

Yes, I believe in miracles....here's one for you that you probably see and use every day.
Go to the kitchen, grab a glass and fill it with water and mark the level of the water then stick it in the freezer. When it's completely frozen, take it out and notice the level of the ice. It's above the water line. Water EXPANDS when it freezes. This is a miracle. Water is the only common substance that has this property and water, is of course, absolutely necessary for life. If ice was more dense that liquid water, it would sink and the oceans would freeze solid. This unique property of water makes it possible for a warm earth to exists. Is this an accident, just natural fluke or a miracle. You decide, but I'm going with the latter.

YES. If only more people could see this. We don't appreciate the value of life anymore mainly because we don't see it as the miracle it really is. I'm glad someone else shares my beliefs in miracles.
Besides, a miracle is an occurence that cannot be explained in human terms, and has its roots in the supernatural. Since God authors miracles, and we worship Him, we need to believe in his divine providence through the many miracles of our lives!

I do believe in miracles. In fact I've witnessed some(and no I don't mean those wackos on TV "The Lowad sayeth Yow have been heayled!"). I went on a mission trip to Mexico this past summer. The was a deaf person there. We laid hands on her and prayed and her hearing was restored! Talk about a God thing!
So whether you choose to believe me when I told you about that or not is your choice. But there are other kinds of miracles. Say a family is without a car and they really need a car. They pray and are persistent and they get the exact kind of car they were looking for for the exact price! Now wait, that story sounds familar....oh yeah! It happened to my family!
Now wait, there's one more: My aunt had breast cancer in 1998. She survived. Then last year it had metastisised(sorry I don't know how to spell that one...the word means it grew to another part of her body.) to her bones and bone marrow. Common situation. The doctors said she would only live for 6 more weeks. She lived a year longer than they said she would, because everybody was praying for her. You may not think that's a miracle, but I do because she was not only my aunt, but my friend.
So yes, I believe in miracles. There are so many nowaday accounts of miracles happening everywhere. You have to believe and have faith in God(in God in God IN GOD!) that it will happen. Everything according to his plan.

Miracles abound - some choose not to see them. I see miracles every single day, in the eyes of my children. In the smiles on my grand children's faces. In the sunset, reflected by a quiet mountain lake. In the loving embrace of my husband. Life is a miracle.

There are no miracles!
There are only greater and lesser known natural laws!
As our understanding of science expands the need for Gods and miracles begins to drop off. In the end religion and God will finally be put to rest with the rest of mythology!

There are so many miracles in every day life that they cease seeming to be miraculous but they are, none-the-less, astounding.

Alright, so if miracles happen "all the time", why won't god heal amputees?
