I have been searching for an organization that will allow me to volunteer without having to pay a large amount of money. If I had the money to spend, I would just go volunteer on my own. The reason I need an organizations asisstance is my lack of resources. I am willing to volunteer for an entire year if I could just find the means.

i am protestant and respect everyone's right to choose, but something's i don't understand about catholics are; 1) why would you put complete and total trust in a pope or priest? the priest is supposed to "infallible" right? but the way they get their position is induction through vote. so how can "fallible" people create an "infallible" person?

I am 25. As I look at myself and my friends relationships I see more and more that people are less commited to maintaining a healthy relationship with their partners. I see TV shows like OC and Real World that are not showing young people good morals. Cheating is becoming rampant and it's not just men doing it anymore. It's cool to do it now. Look at the divorce rate in this country. 50% in 1997. And that's in 1997! Why? Is it laziness? Or is it because America has become a temporary society where people use other people while they meet their needs and throw them away for the next best thing that comes along?

A Labyrinth is a geometric design that you can walk thru & it suppose to be a stress reliever. When you reach the center, it suppose to be a place of meditation & great power. I just wondered if anyone has been thru one of these. I found there's ones they make to run your fingers thru that suppose to relax you as well at www.relax4life.com. I saw all of this in a magazine while at the eye doctor. It also had a website www.labyrinthsociety.org where you can go to find the locations of these. I just found it interesting.

Growing up, the people in my life were very spiritual and metaphysical. Concerned not so much with material things but with their connection to God, in all his many names. The older I get, the more I find myself attracted to successful people who are well-adjusted in today's society. People who are OK with the state of things, who go to Charlie Brown's with their families after an outing at the mall and are OK with that. Am I becoming a "bad" person–a shallow, lesser person?
