set a limit every time you get paid on how much you spend during the pay period. then set some aside for savings. and every day when you some home, put all of the change (coins) from that day in a jar at home. this will help. and don't touch your savings unless it is something like your car breaking down, that type of emergency. good luck.

hi, jes when i first read your question,i didnot think that it was a dumb question.im asuming that you are spending alot of money on clothes and whatever else money can buy.lol. i bet that you have clothes in your closet with the price tag still attached. well i used to buy alot of things that i really didn't need but because they were pretty i just thought that i got to have it. i don't make alot of money but i realize that its really not the amount of money that you make, its what u do with it. so this is what i think you should do.......
when u go in a store and u see something that u like ask yourself.. is this a need or a want? if its a need buy it, if its a want leave it. and another thing if you have any credit card debt i think you should workon paying those off first before u start trying to save money. once thats out of the way i would open up a money market account and deposit money into every payday. and watch it grow. and you will find that all this other stuff that you've been wastin' money on is not important. i don't know if you are familiar with suze orman, but shes the author of this book called ''THE MONEY BOOK FOR THE YOUNG,FABULOUS N BROKE" its a really good book it has help me in more ways than one. check your walmart store for it. I HOPE THIS HELP!!

open a savings account from a different bank than the one you already have. have a certain amount come out of your check every payday and put in that account. oh and don't get a mac card for that account. so if you want money you would have to go to the bank than just driving up to mac machine. it helped me save money

You never get anything unless you give up something example if you want to be skinny you give up food and if you want to be married you give up running around so do not buy what you donot need and put that money in the bank,

Set it aside and pretend you don't have it. When the temptation arises, procrastinate on spending it. Once you see it start to grow you won't want to spend it.
