I read "The Catcher in the Rye" a few months ago and after looking something in it up online I found that it had been banned in the US several times for being "anti-christian". Can anyone explain why it was banned? I can't see anything wrong with it.

All of us have something that we are thankful for. Like some of us started the year but some did not end it. You are still here, shouldn't you be grateful?

Is this a tradition you do with your family? What do you think of people that put up elaborate displays in their front yard for Christmas?

I have just remembered that on soneones birthday they would bring in a false cake with real icing, so the birthday boy/girl would blow out the candles, but not get any cake! We could all smell the icing. Thats cruel. Maybe I resent it more because my birthday was always in the holidays.

Chorus is " Then the king looked at the beggar and he said you've been set free....the king was Jesus, the King of Kings and that beggar was me." that is all I can remember. Anyone who has it or knows where I can find it would be great.

Doesn't the 1st amendment protect vile speech, as long as it doesn't incite violence? As much as I dislike trolls, I think taking legal action is very costly. I have a web forum, and there are a few idiots who are saying crazy stuff on there. Some are thinking about filing a lawsuit, but I don't think it's necessary.

For 6000 years females wore long dresses, but about 50 years ago Christian women began wearing trousers. Right now, today, a few Christian females sit in slacks at their computers and write about how being gay is wrong because it's an "abomination" (according to Lev 18:22 and 20:13). However --

Deu 22:5 "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth to a man, neither shall a man put on a women's garments: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God."

Paul (in the NT) instructs women to wear dresses: 1 Timothy 2:7-9 "Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) ...that women adorn themselves in modest *apparel*" - from the Greek word katastole (used only in this verse) meaning a long, loose fitting garment. Paul continues in 1 Cor 11, via God's will, to distinguish between the appearances of males and females.

How do Christians justify women wearing trousers when both the OT/NT state it's an abomination and wrong?

The teacher sent me to the principals office and they were talking about detention or even suspending me for a drawing I made. The teacher gave us an assigment to draw the perfect family. I had the guy sitting in a chair and his wife on all fours, the guy had his legs up on her like a stool and she was scrubbing the floor. They didn't think it was funny, but hey the assigment was what the perfect family would be, according to each individual, stupid haters.

In the Pink Floyd song, "The Wall", at the end you hear a man yelling at a child "If you don't eat your meat, ya can't have any pudding. How can you have any pudding, if you don't eat your meat?". I pose the question, Why can't you have a pudding regardless of the eating of meat?
