It was a big NO NO for the Hebrew people to rebel and make a golden calf. After that, God ordered them to make animal sacrifices, along with a list of certain animals that they could not eat.
After the Perfect Sacrifice (Jesus) had gone to the Father, God told Peter in a dream that eating animals was OK.

The Bible says that all food is good. You can eat whatever you want as long as you are grateful for it. It is man-made tradition that says not to eat meat, not God.
Eat away, God won't care. Just be thankful.

Who told you God does not want us to eat meat. Animals do not have souls. They were created for man. God tells us that he gave us them for meat and for work. Each animal has a purpose to help mankind. Some are to eat and some are not. God is very clear about this. Maybe you could read more of his word, talk with him, meditate and attand prayer meetings and Bible study so you could discover who God is and what life is all about. Best of peace & love on your journey to meet God.

where does it say we cant eat meat? If i remember correctly the bible encouraged eating meat and fish. Like turning 5 into 5000 fish or something along those lines. Besides its the circle of life, the tigers and lions eat zebras, the eagles eat whatever it is that they eat, and we go down KFC for a bargain bucket. its all good.

Humans are made out of meat too. So thats not a good way to look at it. God gave dominion over animals to man. They are meant for food as well, but not for us to be cruel too.

actually the eating of animal flesh came into the picture after Adam and Eve sinned and were banned from the garden of eden. God said that they were to abide with the animals in the garden and not eat them. after they sinned and were driven out of the garden thats when they started eating animal flesh and sacrificing it. it was part of the curse of the sin of man.

God gave us "dominion" over the animals and the birds, so many interpret this as he did wants us to eat them.

The higher being wanted to test us, aka Survival of the Fittest, however in todays world we are lazy and have an amazingly large advantage over animals, when we once were evenly matched against them, tooth and claw, to spear and bow.
