The majority of men and women I see are obese, and/or diabetic, and/or losing hair (me!), and/or have certain unattractive features (unshapely nose/ear) etc...

Yet why do so many people here (men and women) keep talking about looks? Why do we as humans focus on looks when we know that at best only 5 percent of humans are decent looking? More importantly, why do all the women on tv shows always talk about good looking guys?

Do we all think we will find a partner among that five percent?

God is eternal. The actions of men and women cannot diminish God. God does not require your worship or your acknowledgment to exist and flourish. God existed before there was anything else, and will surely not cease to exist because of anything we could do or not do.

God’s existence is independent and eternal. We do not influence it. We cannot bolster it. We cannot weaken it. God does not exist for us, or because of us, or for our sake. God exists because God exists.

God does not require your validation to exist. God has no need, as some religious leaders suggest, to go running after worshippers begging for their allegiance and making bargains of what he/she will trade them for their worship.

It is the worshipper who requires God, not God the worshipper. Though, it may be a blow to your ego, you are not the cog on which the wheel of the Universe turns. You are not a sale made in a celestial supermarket war between good and evil.

Why is it, that when I ask very specific questions about God, and follow up those questions with more specific questions, theists get less and less specific? Has anyone else noticed that, when confronted with reason, God becomes even more and more "distant" and "abstract", until eventually he's gone from smiting Egyptians based on the presence of goat's blood (Exodus), to being some kind of abstract force that exists outside of any known universe or multiverse?

Am I the only one to observe this regression? Anyone care to explain it?

Why is it cool to have a latino grammy award ceremony, a united ***** college fund, a national association for the advancement of colored people, and racist for anything to be referred to as caucasian or white only??? Racism is racism no matter which side you're on!!!!

Do pigs have free will? Are they homosexuals by choice? Is Satan also playing tricks on the pigs?

If many types of animals are given to us simply to eat them, it's necessary that animals reproduce. It doesn't make sense if God made homosexual animals. Could it be, ehm, I'm almost to scared to ask this on this forum, but could it be that homosexuality is...ehm..natural?

I am not being a smart@ss. I would really like to understand the appeal of really butch lesbians. The women I like tend to be softer and more feminine. I'm not attracted to the butch at all, but I know that many many women are. Again, I'm not being a jerk, I would just like to know.

I have over 200 mostly older black folks in my family that have very conservative thoughts and believe homosexauality is horrible all my friends are the same way I cant come out to all those people who defintely wouldnt approve dont say come out I cant and I wont so whats your best advice as keeping this part of my life a secret should I move far aways leave the country or what this is killing me inside and I cant talk to anyone please help ill be out of the house in 2 years what should I do.

I just dont understand. I read peoples comments on here about the United States and I just cannot believe it.. Peopels perceptions of America are so warped and misguided that Im begining to think people are just saying these things to be mean. The IGNORANCE of some of the statements is just insane. Here are some examples..

- America has the worst colleges and universities on earth...
- Americans are fat and lazy...
-All Americans are poor and steal from other countries to sustain their lavish life styles.
-George Bush was behind 9/11..
-America has the worst military and every other army on earth laughs at America's
-America is the most racist country on earth
-etc etc etc etc etc .....


Of course..everything I just listed is a COMPLETE LIE...But statments like these are so pervasive on this website that...well...i dont even know....
Can someone explain to me why all these people spread these lies and gross exageration on the net to one another.
