A church I have been attending, has had a real bad past and stopped growing a while back, our preacher said the church is dead and has a vision, he is trying to take what few of us is left and start another church, kinda hiding that we are the ppl from the "old church", so we are leaving the old building and we are gonna meet in a borrowed building to start the first 4 preview services. Is the lauch is successfull we will later abandon the old church building and let things there dissolve. There is a lot of controversity about what we are doing, and have lost some ppl. I am confused, I have been prayerful,, but there's a lot I don't understand? Are deacon's important to have in a church? What about the church body's ability to vote on major decisions in the futer? Hiding that the dead church with a bad past is mothering a new church? Lack of funds? I can't tell details, I don't want to gossip, I just want to know what should I know about a church? I know the word of God is most imprt.
