for ex., $23.66...Would you calculate the actual 10% of that or would you round it to 24 and then calculate the 10%?

Or if it's something like $21.26 do you give 10% of that or can you round down?

I always round up. I feel like God has blessed me with the other 90%, and all he asks for back to help the people around me is 10%. God would never round down for me.
God has always helped me out from the tithes of other people. So many times I didn't know how I was going to pay for a phone bill, or get groceries. Out of the blue I am blessed, and never just for what I need, but in abundance.

Do you live in Israel? Are you living in the Old Testament? When were you given a few million acres of farmland and told to give 10% of its harvest to those who would study the scriptures?

Are you and your church illiterate? Tithing was only requested by God on a one time deal, as the result of big land deal in the Old testament.

Do the math. If 100 people each give 10% of their income to the church leader. Then the church leader will be 10 times richer than the average member.

what about the Pope? He is a million times richer than his average member. (no exaggeration)

Tithing is a sin. Why? It eventually causes disharmony.

I always round it up. It is not about the money it is more about your heart and doing it with gladness in your heart.

This past year our pastor has taught so much on tithe and giving and the more I learn the more fun and exciting it is to tithe and give. I look forward to giving.

Best wishes and I commend you for obeying scripture.

Did you miss this? And you did not say Gross or Net!

(1Corinthians 16:2) Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

The NT principle is Giving as God has prospered YOU!

Thanks, RR

I just hire Father Louie the Accountant and let him do the numbers. He gets me a major refund on both my taxes and my tithes. And neither organization knows the difference!

I always take mine up to the next,, rounding it off.

I tell you what---if you are a true tither--ask God what you need to give and you will know before you even finish asking. God is NOT going to let you give ABOVE yur means. He DOES want to bless you , though, and going over your tenth is incredibly easy.

As you start to give more--you will see how God returns your money, tenfold.

Since you are paying tithe, you know that you cannot out-give God. (In other words, He will always give you more than you give Him) I always round it off, but to the next highest like you said, $23.66 to $24.00. God is good and His blessings are uncountable.

No tithe means tenth. So if a tenth of your increase is 23.66 that is what must be paid.
