...the fact that parents lie to their children at Xmas about there being a person who travels to every kids house on xmas eve via flying reindees?
By the way I am not against it since kids minds are all about fantasy and make believe anyway. But is anyone against it?

Much ado has been made over the seeming lack of condemnation by muslims over the Islam-influenced terrorists who masterminded 9/11 and the Madrid and London bombings.

Will even one of my brothers or sisters in this family of humanity who hold the islamic faith stand up and unconditionally condemn these three attacks and the men who carried them out?

My muslim compatriots in the R&S forum, I present you an empty slate. Tell the world that you UNCONDITIONALLY CONDEMN the people who planned and carried out 9/11, Madrid, and London. Tell the world that you UNCONDITIONALLY CONDEMN the actions they took.

Even a simple, "I do" would suffice.

Okay Christians - Many of you responded to my other questions regarding what non-Christians would do when the rapture happened. Unfortuanatly - many of you said it was not Biblical. What about the following?

John 14: 2-3 - In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, you may be also.

1 Thessalonians 4: 15-17
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

I myself, am an atheist and as such do not believe in any higher power. I personally believe and it is only under my personal opinion that it wasn't God or faith that gathered so many followers but the europeans. Although my understandings of events isn't clear and I don't mean to rant or offend anyone, but it seems that when europeans arrived on the new world they forcefully spread the word of Christ and even stamped out most pagans in the land. So in my humble opinion I believe that it wasn't God that is great but the desires of men.

My friend has told me that I am very unconcentrated in my head as well as my spirit. He told me for months how great of a chaotic Pagan I would make, except I would need lots of practice to actually sit down, concentrate, and open my mind's eye in order to actually practice. I have been in a religious struggle for the last 3 years and have studied all the different religions, and still to this day am still not sure whether I should listen to my spiritual mother and pick up a Solitary Witch book, or listen to my friend's warning of being weary of my current status.
Now, Some points he made are obvious, and one in particular comes to mind: Be careful with Chaotic.
Should I settle down and try to do certain things like the healing Magick that I was born with (I'm Native American) while incorporating the chaotic into it? Or should I avoid doing anything and remain confused and unsure about everything?

Converting to some religion that only a retard could believe in.

You abandoned Judiasm for Christianiaty.. then decide to abandon Christianity for paganism.. You know religion isn't like buying a new car. You cant just trade up whenever you feel like it.

I've noticed that the Religion/sprituality and GLTB areas seem to have been 'claimed' by religious and gay/bi/trans people. By contrast, in government/politics there's an expectation of conflicting views and that's acceptable. In the religion/spirituality and gay areas, there seems to be little tolerance for opposing ideas or views. The message coming from those groups seems to be, "If you're in opposition, get out of here"

I'm not talking about flamers who purposely look to humiliate or attack, but people with legitimate and genuine differences.

December 1 is World AIDS Day, and I'd like to be able to distribute Red Ribbons in my office to support the fight to wipe out AIDS. I was wondering if anyone knew of any San Francisco area places where I could buy AIDS ribbons in bulk to distribute?

What do you think about human beings having the ability to choose the sex and traits of the unborn? In especially patriarchal societies such as China the male is always kept but what is the ratio of boys to girls and who can carry on the generation if females are 'disposable?" i think its sick. Your opinions?
