Its my mother tongue and yes, its the sweetest :)

Its poplarly called the Italian of the East, because spoken Telugu sounds as though every word ends in a vowel.

I dont know why anyone would consider Tamil as the mother of Dravidian languages. There is no such thing. And Telugu has the largest number of speakers among Dravidian languages and its the second largest spoken language in India. (including non-native speakers)

i agree with those who said that we all feel that our mother tongue is the sweetest language in the world.
i think all languages are sweet!
someone answered that Telugu is India`s 2nd most spoken language,but that`s wrong.it`s Bengali,which is India`s 2nd most spoken language,after Hindi.

1st atleast type ur question properly. it is not "telegu". it is Telugu.
Ofcourse Telugu is said by People as "Italian of the east".

I donot think so. For everybody their mother tongue is the sweatiest.
Is it not? I believe in Telugu there are more kirtanas by saint Thiyagaraja the great composer of Karnatic music as far as my knowledge goes.Tamil is the mother of all Dravidian languages which Telugu is one of them. which to me, more swetetere than Telugu. SO the opinion differs.
