Is that like Ronald McDonald having breakfast at Burger King because his own company was sinking due to a very poor investment decision(popes comments earlier last month abou muslims)?? I mean lets face it these guys are not about really respecting the others religions. Let me ask this, theoreticaly if the pope could get married, would he marry Fatima Al-Khan, basically a muslim woman. so why do people show respect for this total farse put up by these leaders. Sorry, I dont mean to offend anyone, its just that my religion taught me to think and to ask questions.

I have difficulty with the scripture because of its errors.

I think the "origin" of life is too complex a matter for the human mind to grasp. I think the truth lies somewhere in the positing that there is no beging nor end. (like energy - cant be created nor destroyed).

We have been dating for 2 years, I have met his grandmother a couple of times and I am fairly close to his family, she was his father's mother. I'm not sure if I should send flowers or a plant, and should I send it to his dad (who I know well) or his grandfather or to the funeral home when they have the service? What do you think ?

this is an honest question for you guys. ever since i was little i couldnt beleive in the bible and christianity. and its not that i WONT beleive it, its that i CANT. i truly cannot be a christian without being miserable. i feel that they use fear in the church to keep you beleiving in it. i used to go to church with my family but as soon as i listend to the stuff that they were teaching i knew right from the beginning that i would not beleive in god. even in the sunday school that they had, i asked my teacher these questions and she said that if i dont beleive that i will be going to hell, and that what got me so freaked out. its impossiblee for me to beleive in that stuff and i realy truly tried at first but nothing worked and they told me i was going to burn. this happend when i was 8 and i couoldnt beleive what they were teaching and i they said it was a merciful and loving god. it seemed evil to me. what do you guys think??

Consider holy water. One minute it's regular azz water, then a priest waves a magic wand, spits some gibberish and suddenly it's "holy" water.

If you look at these rituals objectively, don't they strike you as being sort of silly?

Why wear a cross? Isn't that a bit like wearing an electric chair? Why do plays and make movies about his death? Why talk about the blood so much? Why to you pray to the cross? Sing about the cross? Talk about the sacrifice so much?

Why do you not focus on the life he lived? I know that you talk about it....but not near as much as you do the death. Then once a month you eat his flesh and drink his blood?!?! It's kinda morbid from an outsiders perspective. You've got the pagans beat hands down.

(ps - I don't believe in Jesus or the bible, but I'm curious why his story has been made into some sort of weird death worship)

Somedays, I just don't know. I mean, for a few years there it was all good. I arranged a few tanker bombings, set up wire transfers from charity fronts, and generally had a blast (no pun intended).

Lately, I've found my enthusiasm slipping. There's no spark, no joy... I was strapping a suicide pack on a 16 year old the other day and thought "is this what I want to be doing for the rest of my life?"

*sigh*

When I was a child, I never played with my friends outdoors. All I would do is paint. Paint and sing. It was my life, my happiness. I was pretty good at football, too. I scored 3 goals in one game during a varsity match one year...

I am dating a girl at my school and we dont really do anything at school, we hold hands in the hallways and write notes in class sometimes but when the teachers see me whisper in her ear at lunch or hold her hand they say "no PDA, I would say the same thing to a couple if it was a boy and a girl so i have to treat you two the same" but the truth is, they dont. The teachers dont do ANYTHING when straight kids makeout in the hallways and everywhere else!! It makes me sick how unfair this is. Any advice about how to talk to the admin or maybe any other action that can be taken?

My sister and I think we've set a record because we moved so much while growing up. We were not army brats.

I went to 17 schools Kindergartedn through 10th grade, dropping out in the 10th because I could not keep up with moving so much and all.

Ironically, In my mid 20's I got my GED and went to college.

My mom died recently. It's been tough without her. I know this is gonna sound silly, but my five year old daughter asked me something that got my mind whirling. Can Nana see everything we do from hevean? Does she see me when i pick my nose? Does she see me when i am in the bathroom? I am twenty five, but i can't help wondering my self can she? Is this a normal thing? Can my mom see all this? If so is she watching when i have sex or when i'm shaving my legs in the tub? We brought her ashes home, which kinda wierded me out a tiny bit too.
