I have read on here that if you choose not to date someone outside of your race, then you are racist. So would that same logic apply to someone who only dated one certain race that happened to be outside of their own race?

If a black girl only dates white men, isnt she racist?

If an asian man only dates black women, isnt he racist?

Or is this just another double standard?

I'd like an honest answer. Why are so many whites so bent out of shape by the existence of historically black colleges and universities ("HBCUs")? Is it just the name? Would "Historically Black Due to White Racial Exclusion and Now Open To All" be a better name? EVERY HBCU welcomes students of all races and each has white and other non-black students, including increasingly many from overseas. There are over 35,000 white students attending HBCUs and approx. one third of the faculty are white. http://www.bet.com/News/hbcus.htm
Clearly these schools are not excluding non-blacks and it's very easy to find this out with a couple of net searches. So what's the beef? Looks to me like those who claim that HBCUs are evidence of reverse racism are wilfully ignorant. Maybe they're just looking for an easy excuse for their own racism. If you aren't a racist and have a principled objection to HBCUs speak up.

I personally love Christmas, because that's a time of happiness, and time with family. But I hate how we all are in the Christmasy moode right after Thanksgiving, and do all this shopping, decorations, parties, etc. But then Christmas day, it's like, oh, it's here, already. It's just 24 hours. Then when it's over, well, it's over.

Do none of you have the "strength" to look for the good in what someone says, and "build" on it?

Now tell me how stupid I am while you prove me right with your own words!

When I have visited muslim temples in less extreme countries I have always felt Islam was peace loving what the heck has happened to make us believe it is so wicked?

Perhaps the good Muslims are trying to meet and explain only to the practising christian who are often so heavenly minded they are no earthly good.

I do not know the answer? DO YOU

Having the ability to heal others, I am finding confusion however as this ability and drive to use it is at odds with my ability to reason in a scientific manner. If you were in my shoes, what would you do? Would you abandon the ability because it doesn't stack up scientifically? Or would you continue using, knowing that you are flying in the face of science and rational thinking on many levels?
I'm not interested in believing in the mystical or going woolly with either new age or religious thinking. I understand the placebo effect, and can say some successes were in part due to this. I'm not after an explanation-I won't get one.
Would you abandon it completely as it doesn't fit any reasonable scientific viewpoint?
Would you continue using it anyway, ignoring the gap that isn't filled by either faith or sound rational explanation?
Would you go in another direction?
Btw, Healing I do is never charged for. Life pays me back anything owing.

I've been reading quite a few of the posts on here and to be honest some of the responses from Christians are quite scary. Surely when Jesus lived, he lived a life which totally attracted people to him, both through his words and actions? I bet he was a really fun guy to be around but how do you guys talk about him without using words like sanctified, redeemed, washed in the blood...?

I'd like to know what your thoughts are regarding the subject of "CONTROL".

Other questions you might find interesting...

* What are your thoughts regarding CONTROL?

* Can anyone really "control" anything?

* Who "controls" you?

* Who (or what) do you control?

* Is it good, or bad... for people to "control" their emotions?

* Is it good, or bad... for people to "control" the actions of others?

* What are you willing to "control" in your life?

* If you really wanted to, what could YOU do that would increase your ability to "control" people, things, and/or circumstances in your life?

I was in a relationship with another woman for over a year and had to break it off because.......1. My spiritual convictions would not allow me to continue. ......2. She ended up being a very abusive person regardless of my gender. and .......3. Because I was very young when it began (and extremely naive)(had never been in any kind of relationship ever) when she approached me ( she sincerely took advantage of me to some extent and admits it)(She was twice my age, and me very young) Sometimes I imagine I would be happier with a woman but I could never do it because of God; I keep telling myself that I'm not gay but HHHEEEELLLLOOOOO! I have never been in a relationship with a guy and doubt I ever will; it just doesn't appeal to me. Advice for a sister?

I've been spouting off this stat left and right, but I think it's pretty important: human beings share 85% of their genetics traits, regardless of race. I think everyone makes way too much out of superficial differences between us. All this does is serve to separate us and convince us that we can't get along. We can and should.

If anyone questions someone elses beliefs, especially Christians, we are called hyprocrits. Is this a trick of the enemy? Why do people call us a hyprocrit when we question an alcoholic, homosexual, atheist, drug addict or anyone else who is a sinner?
