A gift card to Target, Pier One, Lowes or Home Depot. There are always things you need in a new home and any of those places have a good selection of items form knick knacks to linens and yard items.

I would get art deco for the walls. It might be harder to mail but that is what I would appreciate. You can get them a nice plaque that says some blessing on the home that they can put outside of the home. It might be heavier to mail but you can do both the mailing and the gift for under 75.

Have a live plant sent to the person's new home. Otherwise, some nice photo frames. My sister gave me some really nice throw pillows and a matching throw. Something like that would make their home cozy!

I got a friend who had moved out of state a gift card at Linens and Things. She loved it and now my daughter wants one for Christmas. She lives right down the street from me but that is what she wants for Christmas.

A nice book. Perhaps a book of paintings or photographs. Something they can have on their table or shelf.

I would pick out a nice spice set at Penzeys. If you don't have one near you they are online. www.penzeys.com. They have the coolest gift sets for all occasions and styles. A new house....new spices.....

Wind chimes, bless our home sign, a nice basket of fruit and wine, stationary with the new address on it, kitchen towels, a welcome mat, or a nice set of house numbers.
