I was in a relationship with another woman for over a year and had to break it off because.......1. My spiritual convictions would not allow me to continue. ......2. She ended up being a very abusive person regardless of my gender. and .......3. Because I was very young when it began (and extremely naive)(had never been in any kind of relationship ever) when she approached me ( she sincerely took advantage of me to some extent and admits it)(She was twice my age, and me very young) Sometimes I imagine I would be happier with a woman but I could never do it because of God; I keep telling myself that I'm not gay but HHHEEEELLLLOOOOO! I have never been in a relationship with a guy and doubt I ever will; it just doesn't appeal to me. Advice for a sister?

1. A relationship should be based on caring and understanding, not sex or age.
2. I have read the bible, and read some interesting articles which make me question the basic belief that homosexuality is wrong. One example is the story of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, which was because the people were evil, not because they were gay.
3. The only reason you have any problems with a gay relationship is because you have been taught from a skewed point of view that its wrong, even though throughout nature, homosexual relationships are common and healthy.
4. Of the thousands of articles I've read in my near 40 yrs, one written by the writer for rotten.com brought out more truth than any religious article I've ever seen. Unfortunately I can't remember the name, but i would advise you to go to the site and try to find it. Maybe it'll give you a proper perspective, instead of the angle being pounded by the modern christian view.
5. Noone is going to convince me that the fact that some of the people of sodom being gay, in itself, could possibly make them any worse than Lot having drunken, incestuous sex with his own daughters, but he was considered the "good man".

Although I'm not Cristian myself, I went and did some digging. The information I found on this site may be some help to you.
