because some view it as a religion that many followers of it dont "talk the talk, walk the walk",,, meaning if you say we are all sinners, no one sin is worse then another,,, and if you say Jesus was loving and understanding, then you must be also if you follow him

It is more on how you put forth the question.
Some frame it as such: "Did you know that if you continue in your abominable homosexual lifestyle, you will burn int he fires of hell for all eternity?"
As such, you are answering you own question and insulting the person you are wishing to convert.
The "truth" portion comes from an overweening arrogance that you can speak for God, when you cannot. You can explain that, according to God, these things may happen, but you have no insight as to how He thinks.
Now, more importantly, what are you actively doping to help save these people. If you say, for example, "Stop or you will go to hell." that's not helping but a condemnation.
The hypocricy comes from when people who represent the faith, stand up there and condemn adultery (for example) and are terribly guilty of it themselves . How can I believe you and your words, when you do not believe in you and your words?
And what ever happened to "hate the sin but love the sinner"?

What nobody seems to understand is that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Yet, to sin while spreading the Good News that sins can be forgiven is somehow construed as hypocritical. Go figure...

By your very question, you are judging others lives....and that is hypocritical. YOU have no business judging anyone's business except your own. Enemy? You, in your own question, make everyone who believes differently than you, a "SINNER!" Where in the world do you get off...that is real nerve. And you wonder why others think you are a hypcrite? Get real.

The truth? I don't believe you've ever met Him to know that what a book says is the "truth."

Doesn't the bible tell us that Jesus spoke with authority. So if we as christians have the living God inside us, we will also speak with the same.
