There was a recent coup attempt in Madagascar and I was wondering how that affected members of the Peace Corps. Their website is not helpful for trying to find out what the status of each country is.

I'm going on vacation to a town where my former stepfather lives. Now he is a current sex offender & a pedophile. I didn't want to go in case I bumped into him but then I had another thought. I'm 40 years old & at this time in my life I no longer should fear him, so I picked up the phone yesterday & asked for an apology. Now I've avoided him since 1982 but I needed closure. To my surprise he did in fact apologize over & over again. Now I know that doesn't change the past but believe it or not I felt like I had 1000lbs lifted off my shoulders. Would you have done that or would you have kept avoiding him?

How does one physical death of limited duration and pain pay for the spiritual death of unlimited duration and pain? I don't understand, and until I can jump over this hurtle, I cannot believe in the Bible. If your could help me, you would be saving my soul!!!

Why or why not ? religion is a serious subject , can children handle being forced into there religion as they often are ? sure , kids can handle most anything , but why force them into it ?

So that leaves Mav to this question - what is 'Works'?
is it reading your bible, doing bible study, going to church, having communion, doing work in church?
Is it living your life in such a way that you show Christ through your actions?

At work we have an annual Kris Kringle. It's a secret, random draw and I've drawn someone I personally find difficult and moody. This woman has been extremely rude to me for most of the year - often ignoring me and answering in monosyllables - if at all when I have needed information. To my knowledge - she doesn't treat anyone else the same way - although others have commented through the year - on her open bitchiness/indifference/rudeness towards me. I have never come across this problem before. It is supposed to be a nice present. Any ideas?

Reasoning: if God has a male appendage then for what purpose is it used. If it is not used then why does he have it? On the other hand if God does not have a male appendage why does he not have it. Either he has been castrated - A Castrated God? or else he never had one to begin with so then why is he constantly referred to as "HE"? A male without a male appendage is not a male at all.

Any Intelligent answers to this question? Please don't cop out by saying God is not a human being, we already know that.
