If you were asked to write the sentence: 'There are three ways to spell the word to/two/too', how would you do it, other than the way shown here, and by only using one spelling?

Which spelling do you use in the sentence itself?

If you are muslim, do you enjoy wearing your hijab, or does it feel like more of a burden to you? Especially if you were raised in America. As a child did you dread having to one day put it on, or did your parent give you the choice? I asked one of my friends before and she said that she had chosen to wear one. Also, is it true that wearing a hijab is not part of the koran? If so, why do you wear it?

That is, are you certain of God's form (what shape he takes or what he looks like),of God's being, are you arrogant enough to claim the knowledge of God? something that is impossible to understand due to our insignificant faculties as humans...This is the humility of the concept: you accept that humans are incapable of understanding the full complexity of God.

I am sure you cannot explain the true shape, for example, of God.....so how can you NOT doubt?

If you don't know, yet you claim certainty in such things, such as his shape and perfect understanding in his being....then are you really beleiving if you don't know, yet say you know how he is?

Of all the lies we're fed on which we gorge in our comfort-addicted world, none is more insidious than the lie of romance, the seductive but infantile notion that somewhere there exists someone to complement us in every way - someone who will make us complete. Of course, this illusion keeps us from ever being complete in and of ourselves, and eventually encourages us to despise our shortcomings, our flaws, everything in which our humanity lies: our humanity, without which, of course, we are nothing

I heard that the tale has given rise to the word nightmare, where the Mara would appear at night and sit on a victims chest stopping their breathing. Similar tales appear in Hindu and buddist literature. If you know more about the subject I would appreciate knowing.

I hung out with one of my old coworkers a couple weeks ago. We had coffee and dinner and he said he'd walk me home because it was late. On the way to my house he told me he wanted to stay over. (I had already told him that I had to get up at 6 am. There were things I needed to to to prepare for work the next day.) I told him that my room was a mess and he said he didn't care. I told him that I didn't have any clean towels for him to take a shower, he still said he didn't care and insisted on staying over. I ended up letting him crash on my floor because he had bought me dinner. Would I have been rude to turn him away? I don't like having guests when I'm not prepared. What would you have done?

The name of Moses appears the most number of times in the holy Quran, followed by the name of Jesus, there is even a full chapter called "Mariam" or Mary -holy mother of Jesus...The name of Muhammed appears only 2 or 3 times....The God which the Jews n Christains n Muslims worship is the one and same God...then why do they desecrate a book which is universal to all of us?

The way I see it, God's like Microsoft. He's got a monopoly and knows it, so he just doesn't try to hard about preventing earthquakes and disease. After all, who are people going to go to? Satan? Ha! Almost no one uses Macs anyway, and they don't play the cool videogames...

Any other way to explain the evils of the world would be welcome, assuming it is delivered without too much preaching and venom.

Everyone has a different conception of what God may be....The more mathematically minded, beleive it to be a higher power....in this respect, the normal theists would almost view this as atheism....

this is what is commonly accepted that issac newton beleived, in a "cosmic force" or higher power....even the way he describes God is based on the laws of motion:

the mover was moved by another thus, and that one by another, until you reach the first mover, which could be said to be God.

Because by mathematical logic...how could things have started moving without a "first mover"?

but this is not the same "definition" of a God that others use....There are some that describe God as an "entity" in space and time that absorbes "souls" to a place of happiness called heaven...Others beleive God is shaped like a person...

What is interesting though, is that all of these perceptions of the "one God" seem to be certain--

yet, none of them, must admit, can know the true God

A little Christian humor for a change

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly, God was tired of hearing all the bickering.

Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job."

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.

They mouse.

They faxed.

They e-mailed.

They e-mailed with attachments.

They downloaded.

They did spreadsheets!

They wrote reports.

They created labels and cards.

They created charts and graphs.

They did some genealogy reports.

They did every job known to man.

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.

Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off.

Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld.

Jesus just sighed. Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers.

Satan started searching frantically, screaming:
"It's gone! It's all GONE! "I lost everything when the power went out!"

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.
Satan observed this and became irate. "Wait!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?"

God just shrugged and said,

"JESUS SAVES."

Does he punish us for our sins, through the actions and words of other people or through a natural disaster? My question emphasizes the choices, motives, and actions of other people. Does he play an active role in our lives through punishment?

PREGNANT TURKEY STORY: One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store. When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird. With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed: "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird!" At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry. It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!!!!!!!! HA HA!

The baby was asleep in my arms, and the thought came to me that I had some holy water in one of my cupboards from days gone by, so I found it, dipped the tip of my finger into the jar and put a drop on the baby's forehead, and baptized her in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit, amen. Her eyes came open right away and she started looking all around her. She's four weeks old. Her mother is 14 and unmarried, her parents are JW. She hasn't told anyone who the father is.
1) Is the baptism valid?
2) Does it really matter?
3) I am sneaky. Very sneaky. Was I sinning? I told no one but you who see this question. Maybe one day I'll tell. MUAHAHAHAHA!
