Whatever you do, do not blame your former employer for ANYTHING. That is a big turnoff to prospective employers. Simply say that you are looking for a different direction for your career and are seeking opportunities for advancement. Tell them that you like the kind of work for which you are applying, and are looking forward to making that your life's work. DON'T LIE ABOUT ANYTHING. good luck to you.

I wouldnt mention it at all.
Community and welfare services are often linked by formed networks, especially where the service is similiar.
If you are asked at interview you could say you left because of personal reasons but I think you will find they wont even ask you.
I would like to add that in future always document and report any injury or suspected risk of harm situations you feel your clients may be experiencing or subjected to, this is your duty of care and also the organizations duty of care to you and the client to follow up with the report. Good luck in the future and i hope your next employers treat their staff and clients better.

Don't say the previous employer was "bad" just carefully word your answer such as "I left for personal reasons" or "certain policy decisions were against my principles" and then decline to elaborate as you do not want to put your previous employer in a bad light. If you have reported them and if they are fully investigated that is the time to elaborate on what was going on to future employers, yes you look like a snitch but if they have nothing to hide, they will see you as a person with integrity. Good luck with your job hunting.

I just changed jobs..
I believe you never burn your bridges.. references are very helpful when finding work.
so you don't want to trash them.
I personally mentioned how i needed more personal time for myself.
How the previous job was a little stressful..
(explaining more on the position you were doing how its different to this position). you don't want to say you cant handle stress.
I also mentioned the computer programs used in my job and how this caused alot of the pressure ( new inhouse program that was really bad.. and almost collapsing the business in general).
Finding other reasons. than saying. your boss was really being a pain.. by yelling at everyone and threatening everyone..
Punching walls and swearing his mouth off.

hhhmmm, maybe they Should look bad, How could you look worse? you reported them and left the job. Places like that should be shut down, everyone turns a blind eye and deaf ear these days and it is wrong, Stand up for something, or you'll fall for anything.(or you could just put difference of opinion)

I think you could say that you are looking forward to a career growth and advancement; rather than go into this.
Have a nice day.

Just simply state that you disagreed with certain practices. You don't have to elaborate by law. Any company will understand that you have to be happy and comfortable with your working conditions.

a difference in opinion, or disagreement with practices. You could also tell them that you had no room to grow career wise...
