i am 15 and a gay male, i am wanting to start dating, but dont know any gay people. how can i tell who is gay like when i go to the mall or something?

If you're in a major metropolitan area, there may be a gay youth center. If you know of a gay center in your area, call them and ask for a referral to a gay youth center. I don't think there's a "network" for them, to easily locate one in your area.
There is no 100% tried and true way to tell who is and who isn't. And at that age, most guys will still be trying to emulate the straight role just to survive. Again, if there is a youth gay center, then others you meet there would provide possible dating opportunities.
While the Internet is available, I highly suggest that you do NOT meet folks that you talk with online. The online world provides a place where folks can be whatever and whoever they want to be. A nice 15 year old gay boy that you've been chatting with may very well be a 45 year old. Not that the 45 year old may have anything wrong with him (other than posing as a young man), but the laws are in place to protect you and your innocence. Enjoy being young while you can, with others your own age.
Many of us have "gaydar." Gaydar (a portmanteau of gay and radar) is the intuitive ability to determine whether another person is gay or bisexual. But then again, it's just a feeling, and not scientific or as direct as asking, "Are you gay?"
Again, gay guys your age will probably answer that question in the negative for fear of being outted.
So, there's no great way to absolutely find out who is and who isn't... as you make new gay friends, you'll learn of other gay men and women who are their friends.

Well, you aren't old enough for a gay bar, but what about just enjoying your life and let things happen?
You will meet the person and you will know when it's right.
Trust me, I'm straight and it's not any easier meeting people.
But that's what I do, meet people, some are gay, some are straight, and I'm not looking for A LOT OF PEOPLE, just that ONE who I can click with.
So, chill, hang out, do whatever, and you will run into cool friends who might have friends who know someone who is just perfect for you.
But you are 15-have fun because then you are going to be an adult.

generally gaydar is set off by eye contact...Psychologically two males only make extended eye contact with each other for 1 of 2 reasons...1 to fight you...2 to make love to you ....LOL..you'll be able to tell the difference.

sometimes u can't...noone would guess i was..and i have been les for 9 years ... but noone thinks i am ....guys think i am lying to them when i tell them .. and femaels think if they come on to me i will cuss them out .. i guess u wold have to meet new people..go to clubs..things like that ..i still dont know ..lol
