Is there any scientific literature to indicate a hereditary or genetic component that causes people to be gay or lesbian or is it purely by personal choice?

I realise that in strict obserance of the Koran, usury is forbidden, but the rate of interest offered by most banks in investment accounts is way below the actual current rate of inflation. So no one would be defrauded or exploited and you would benefit as your monies lying static would only lose due to depreciation/inflation.. And even if it did turn a profit, would not this be a convenient way of offering 'Zakat' ? It would certainly help the economy out there as a whole.

I am white first off but i never felt any hate or disrespect for any culture or race.

But i CANT stand uncontrolled immigration, i think it is a terrible thing in the USA, and i do mean this to about mexicans mostly but really anyone too
There are many reasons why i think its bad, i will list a couple so you know a little of how i view it

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare
The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION/ year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University ].
40% of all workers in L.A. County (L.A.County has 10.2million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This was because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

these facts can be found anywhere, in fact i believe the LA times had a huge article on it a bit ago
My best friend is half bolivian half mexican, both his parents came to the US legally

If God the creator is a man, wouldn't it follow that men should be the ones creating life by giving birth?

According to some, we were created in God's image, if I'm not mistaken.

How and where do the children learn how to treat other race people fair as well as to learn how to protect himself from being hurt by unfair racial discremination?

I was a catholic ,I met a muslim guy in the university 7 years ago .I fell in love with him and we decided to marry. He said I should be a muslim to marry him .I didnt know much about Islam ,to be honest I didnt care at that time ,so I agreed and since then I've been a muslim.First he tried to teach me the rules of his religion ,after a while I realized that islam is much more better than christianity(its my idea though) .I just want to say ,Why do some christians think that muslims are fanatic people while they respect christians and Quran mentioned Jesus name many times..Allah =God ...Why do you think Allah is a different God ?they just believe that Jesus was not his son.what else in their religion bothers you?

Mine is Psalms 139:19-22 KJV

"Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me, ye bloody men.
"For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
"Do i not hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? And am i not grieed with those that rise up against thee?
"I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies."

Not out of context in the least, the word of David, God's chosen King of Israel.

Hi! I was just wondering if you have ever changed from one set of religious beliefs to another... and if so, what set of beliefs you orginally held, what set you converted to, and most importantly, what was the reason for your change? I am just mostly curious and interested in this subject. Thank you for sharing.

And to play fair, I am personally a Protestant, non-denominational Christian, and was raised as such. While I have never personally changed religions, I started to explore my beliefs more intensely in high school, when I decided that I needed to understand if there were good reasons for me to believe what I had been taught my whole life, or if I was just blindly swallowing what I had been told since childhood. The result was a closer, more intimate relationship with God, and a much more solid foundation for understanding and explaining my relationship with Him. :)

Is it too soon for the radio to start playing the Christmas songs? I wish that the radio stations wouldn't play Christmas music endlessly from Thanksgiving morning to Christmas night cause it gets tiring hearing the same ol' Christmas songs over and over again, I wouldn't mind hearing 2 Christmas songs an hour during the majority of the holiday season but I wouldn't mind listening to Christmas music during the last several days of the holiday season (the 22nd to the 25th), that's where I really get into the spirit of Christmas.

how do you stop them, how do you convince them to stop. And worse, if you know they will go on to hurt abuse kill others, are you responsible for not stopping them?
And last so we have no confusion here, this person, is someone you love.
Say it is an authority, that you have a split second to decide, (but you have this moment all you want to prepare)
I mean this can be applied to a huge group of ethic problems from one religon who hates another, to people who destroy the environment, people who are selfish and uncaring and willing to act on it.....etc
This is totally hypothetical please remember that, it is a philosophical question I would like to see better worded.
But better, I would love to hear your answers.
I would really like to hear from the faiths, non faiths etc here in R an S too. important to ask ourselves...

Do you see most religious ppl the way I see them?
I see most religious ppl are pretty dumb and stubborn. They are bad leaders because their views are so narrowed and they will choose bullshits over logics. They tend to lie so much that they eventually believe in their own lies.
The more I see them post BS on Yahoo!, the more I realise most religious ppl are dumb and stupid ppl who needs to be part of a religion to belong or to be someone as most of them have extremely low IQ. Take a priest for instance. If you take away their religion, they are pretty much just useless sh*ts in the real world. If ppl understand that religions are fake, then they will realise all the religious ppl/priests/nuns/buddist/muslims/etc are actually scums and useless ppl of the world.

Faith is usually defined as belief beyond evidence, in other words, you believe something, such as god, without any evidence.

faith click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faith ----"faith refers to belief beyond evidence or logical arguments, sometimes called "implicit faith"--wiki

Agnosticism is having a belief in a deity, while believing the existence of that deity is inherently unknowable. so, from the point of view of an agnostic, they can believe in god and also believe there is no evidence to prove gods existence. thus, belief without evidence.

agnosticism click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism ----"theological claims regarding metaphysics, afterlife or the existence of God, god(s), or deities — is unknown or inherently unknowable" ---wiki

christians and many different religions seem to always have evidence for their belief in god's existence. From this point of view they would not have faith, for faith is belief without evidence.

so, it seems that agnostics are the ones with faith, while the thesist (christians etc...) are the one without faith. maybe that explains the many problems with todays religions.

typical answers are a misunderstanding of the terms of faith and agnostic, so, I left some links to some credible sources for understanding the terms.
