As has been noted, the number of people questioning the existence of God has grown to 42%, all while the political power and prominence of the evangelical church has expanded.

During this expansion, conservative Christians have been noted to get involved in the political arena in the following areas:

- inserting intelligent design into public school biology classes,
- censoring television and radio language & images,
- preventing homosexual marriage,
- restricting or eliminating abortion rights,
- intervening in right-to-die decisions, and
- severely limiting stem-cell research.

How big a role does the political agenda of conservative Christians play in making it more difficult to move toward a religious faith in Christ?

The Statue of Lierty stands in New York Harbourt and the American institution values freedom above all. Yet liberals are vilified and liberal is a dirty word.
This seems a schizophrenic attititude. (Apologies to schizphrenics).

I have the perfect woman after me, but I can't get into her because I still love my ex. I have to make a choice, either end my friendship with my ex or let the new girl go! My husband and I have always tried to keep the holidays as equal as possible with Thanksgiving & Christmas Eve with one side and Christmas Day with the other. We now have come across and extremely inconvenient and problematic situation. Since Christmases on my side have always been at Grandma's house (an hour and half away) that is where we do Christmas Eve, when it is our turn with them. My husband has to work at our church's Christmas Eve service until almost 7:00 p.m. then we are now expected to load up two kids (5 & 14 months) and take them out of town for approximately 2 hours to turn around and come back home for Christmas Day here. My aunt and uncle, who care for Grandma, won't budge and move the celebration to my house or my mom's here in town. What should we do?

friary for sleeping with the nun.... yes then after that he had problems with indulgences and so on (note indulgences aren't forgiving of sin just the punishment of sin know works can forgive sin just the Lords mercy) anyways howcome most protestants don't realize that the main reason he reformed was because he wanted some fun and when he was caught he didn't get it his way so he did what he did?

A few years ago there was an independent movie produced with supposedly a really big budget, big name actors, and a bunch of special effects. In the previews I saw on the Christian channel it showed the story of a guy who was spared from the very graphic fire and brimstone of hell by his beliefs. The movie was billed as having very advanced special effects (in fact what I found memorable was the footage of the guy in hell and all these bugs moving under the skin in his arm). Does anyone know the title of this movie and where it can be found? Thanks.
