We all pray for certain things...the question is, if we pray a long time for these things, yet do not get an answer, does that mean it's not part of God's plan?

Can anyone explain to me how to sign Merry Christmas (aka Feliz Navidad) in Columbian Sign Language. I have a deaf friend who lives in Columbia and she's coming to visit this December. The both of us know ASL (American Sign Language) but I would really like to make her feel at home by greeting her in the sign language she uses most. All I need is for someone to explain the hand gestures and movements for Merry Christmas in Columbian Sign. Thanks for your help!

I am a male. I have to put the seat down for my mother as a child I was trained to do this by my father who insisted upon this but I do not agree.

Men usually need it up, women always need it down... we are constantly having to (though it isn't a huge imposition) to bring it up and put it down.

I guess, what I need is someone to convince me WHY I should do this. I think that this is the same idea of cleaning out the dryer lint catcher in a community laundry room. I have the philosophy of self sufficiancy.

I check the lint catcher, its usually full so I empty it. I dry my things. Then I take my stuff out and leave if for the next chap. If I did get to the dryer with it empty, I still leave it for the next person because I usually have to do it anyway. It isn't a big deal, it takes only a few seconds at most but I suppose its the principle that I am pondering right now.. what do you think?

I was denied my Freedom of expression, speech and assembly and now stand against this organization for their very clear dedication to the Religious Right of America. Not because YAHOO deleted 2 of my characters-but they did so when it was a RIGHT guaranteed to me by the Constitution of The United States of America. Be prepared people-if Yahoo can take away my individual voice that pressed upon Religious ignorance by stating that I was; Reason of Violation:Chatting & Personal Communications and also You have posted content to Yahoo! Answers in violation of our Community Guidelines. As a result, your content has been deleted. Which is based upon their assessment, then they can control what is said over their pages-please watch for me as I challenge them soon very publicly and in the media-to you YAHOO that read this BITE ME-as I already know it is not me that violated any rules but YOU who are in VIOLATION of my Bill of Rights and FREEDOM OF SPEECH-and I will sue you soon EVIL-DOERs!

I love the gays but I'm confused because people say two different things and I would love to hear the truth from someone who knows! Ok I've heard that being gay is genetic or there is a chemical in your brain that turns you gay? Weird?? Then other people tell me it's completely by choice and the environment the person was raised up in. What's the truth to it?

I'm seeking your thoughts about religions and gods that predate Christianity, Islam and others current religions.

For example, what of the (so-called) Ancient Gods of Greece such as Zeus? And what of Anubis, Set, Isis and the other from Egypt?

Or the ones from West Asia, home of many of the world's most popular religions?

Additionally I'm curious what todays believers think about the old gods and religions becoming myths. Take, again, the gods of ancient Greece which are now disregarded as simple myths. Do you think something like this will happen to the major religions of today, say in 2000 years time?

If your a Christian and use the word Xmas, your just stupid, why would you want to take Christ out of the word?

OTHERWISE, for you others:: It is our Holiday. Christmas is for Christians as the name suggest. CHRISTmas. Okay. So dont take out Christ and put an X. Its disrespectful to our religion and Holiday. You wouldnt do stuff like that to Jews or other religions.

ALSO:: I am sick of people who are not Christians, celebrating Christmas., without celebrating Christ's birth of coure. They just celebrate with Santa's and snowmen.....
But it's just like, Get your own holiday!! Please.

I mean the apostles didn't just believe without proof, they saw miracles (supposedly).

Shouldn't we all get to witness miracles too, before we would be punished for not believing?

I CARRY YOUR HEART WITH ME

I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)

I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear, and

whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling)

I fear no fate, (for you are my fate, my sweet)

I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;

which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

I carry your heart ( I carry it in my heart)
