hah i ask this a lot dont i? I'm sorry! just wondering what religions people have studied.

i have studied christianity, islam, and judaism mainly.. although i still have a lot to go on judaism. and i am still a roman catholic. :) i plan on studying the hindu religion and more about judaism.

so what about you? what religions have you studied? have you read their doctrines? are you still the religion you formerly were?

Most people I've seen in London this week have bare lapels. I remember when everyone wore one as a mark of respect - do people care less? If you don't have one, is it by choice or because you've not seen a seller yet?

When did it become the norm to set off fireworks the day before bonfire night in the UK?

And the day before that?

And the day after bonfire night?

In fact, why DO people insist on setting off fireworks all the time? Bonfire night is over or hadn't you noticed?

If they were married, had kids, then divorced and remarried, they can't receive communion unless they annul their first marriage. Yet a married catholic that commits adultry CAN receive communion. Why is that?

Please don't think I'm being racist here, guys, I'm just interested to know.

Often when I post questions I get completely useless answers from folks in the US. Not because they're stupid (though some of them might be:-) but because our cultures are different and you sometimes don't understand when we're being funny, when we're being serious, and when we're being downright rude!

What I want to know is - do you feel the same about us? Do you sometimes wish we would just get lost and not bother answering your questions?

I find the differences most acute in religion and politics subjects. Do you find that too?

This is a genuine question - no offence of any kind is intended.
