You hear that it's because they have unfinished business but then others who die come back reporting that they briefly went to Heaven or Hell. It was beyond their control, they were pulled by some force either way - to the light, or down, down, down. How is it some are 'taken' and others are left to roam the earth aimlessly - both nice spirits and nasty ones who haunt places?

Plus in the Bible the prophet Samuel's spirit was called forth by a medium for King Saul - Samuel asked "Why have you disturbed my rest?" Okay, his rest...... So he wasn't in Heaven praising Jesus with the angels yet? His spirit was still roaming the earth?

I don't know that anyone has a clear answer to this unless they are a prophet of God. But what do you think?

I would like to know what most Christians believe about the Bible...
Please answer each part of this question:

1. Does the Bible contain all of God's word?

2. Do you allow for the possibility that additional books of scripture could be revealed in the future?

3. Do you allow for the possibility that some scriptures may have been written in the past that are not included as part of the Bible?

4. If a particular doctrine or teaching is not found in the Bible, and the Bible is silent on the matter (does not say anything for or against the doctrine), does that mean that the doctrine must be false?

5. Please share scriptural references, if any, that support your answers. If there are no Biblical verses that support your answers, then what forms the basis for your answers?

The Buddhist faith is based in logic and understanding. It is not based in supernatural theory but rather in self-understanding and mental exercise. We reject dogma and encourage our followers to question their religion, and also discourage blind faith. We leave the questions concerning the natural world to science. What is illogical about our religion?

"Believe nothing.
No matter where you read it,
Or who said it,
Even if I have said it,
Unless it agrees with your own reason
And your own common sense"

That's not really fair of God, is it?
How could he expect everyone to believe in someone who lived over 2000 years ago who they've never seen?

Wouldn't it be more fair of God to just let all good people into heaven?

Do christians follow the dictionary meaning of proof? Proof is what you get after obtaining factual evidence. This is usually obtained by empirical testing.

I'm sorry to break it to you guys but you do not have empirical methods for which to test the existence of God. Face it.

That's a very clever way to avoid reflecting on your own religion -- talking about my "ego," whatever that means in this context. Oh, wait, that's not clever at all.

Now, what about your religion, as reflected in the Koran? Do you endorse it or do you reject it? Have you read it? Have you read these "hadiths"? Do you think that this book and these "hadiths" come from a good person/Allah or an evil person/shaytaan?

Is it a girl who turned in to a man? Or a man that turned into a girl? How did they get that way and what gender are they? I'm really confused on this but I don't want to ask the people who are saying this; I don't want them to laugh at me.

Why do so many come here to debate/discuss? Are they eager to learn from the experiences of others? Or more eager to convert others to their religion? Does this ever work? Does anybody actually change their minds about faith or the world?

I know what my answer to this question is, I'm wondering what yours is...

Some Christians believe and I think but not sure that it says in the bible, that when you think about something sinful purposely it's the same as you doing it.

How is that? I mean we don't have the power to steal, commit adultery and all that with our minds. If it was then the whole world would be in chaos and a lot of rape cases!

Explain please? It don't make sense if you think about doing something but never do it it's as if you do it!!

Ahh. Athiests are more than welcome here!!!
