The Catholic Church doesn't believe or teach this. Many non-Christians such as Jews, Muslims, and even Atheists can make it to Heaven. (Just like many Christians end up in Hell.)
The real issue is who spends their time trying to perfect their own faith and behavior toward others vs. who prefers to play God and waste their valuable time here on Earth judging others.

Wait a minute....You believe in God because you said"That's not really fair of God, is it?" But you don't believe in Jesus? If you don't believe Jesus is the son of God as it says in Gods word then why would God allow you into his kingdom for eternity? Read the book but remember it's all or nothing......that's just the way it is and it's not a bad thing. How many other people that walked the earth over 2000 years ago have such an influence in the lives of so many people today? Can you name anyone?

Now, if the God created you and provides you with everything you have and you are, and still you have no will to accept His existance, or to search for Truth - does it really makes you "good"?
But to answer your question, all that is good is from God, and by running in the direction opposite to God people end where all is bad. Like some saint father of the Eastern Orthodox Church said, the river of fire, depicted in Hell, consists of peoples, trying to escape God.
And not believing in Christ is a way to start that run.

All God asks you to do is simply believe in his Son Jesus! once you do that he will do the rest. Whats wrong with accepting Gods free gift of eternal life?? There are no down sides!

Well lets say He gave you 100 years to live on earth and in that 100 years He asked you to come to Him 100 times, each time you rejected Him,,why would you think He would want you to live with Him forever when you couldn't even spend 100 years with Him..which is fair..

I think God judges us upon what is in our heart, for only he knows what is there. God is fair and He wouldn't be unfair in any way, be pure of heart and you shall find the kingdom of heaven

I don't think there is a hell because God made us all. He made all of our minds are attributes and characteristics. Which means he made us lazy or hardworking. It's not our fault if we don't pray to him. I think if you get in touch with god good things will come to you in this life. And you will still go to heaven. God put us on this earth because he loves stories.

You really don't have any faith in anything do you? You don't have faith that you will live to see the next minute of the world?
That is what faith is all about. You can't see Him, but you know He is there, because He has revealed Himself to you through miracles. Jesus said that anyone who wishes to come to the Father must come through Him.

Look at it this way...if I come to your house, I would be subject to your rules, wouldn't I? Say, you don't allow anyone to smoke in your house...and I light up a cigarette...would you be within your rights to ask me to leave?
Of course you would!
If you come to my house, the same thing applies. If you do something I have clearly stated I don't allow in my home, such as light a cigarette, would I be within my rights to refuse to allow you access to my house?
Sure, I would!
So, what makes you think that you can stroll up into God's house, put your feet up on His golden coffee table, and tell Him how He ought to run things?
Silly child!!

Come on! Your question is gratuitious. No one said you would go to hell so long as you don't commit an serious crime and even then you always have the right to repent sincerely.
