I mean no offense...but it seems weird to have it in this section.....does sexual orientation really belong right next to religion, mythology and bull fighting(lol...besides who the heck talks about that??)....you're gay or lesbian(or whatever) because of your relationships...and all the gays and lesbians that I happen to know ALSO have families!..brother,sisters,mothers,fathers,cousins
and aunts and uncles...and some have kids!

Yep...those sure sound like relationships and families to me....am I wrong?

I have recently read a few different books on the possibility of an advanced civilization that existed prior to all record history, with a handful of survivors of what may have been a man-made cataclysm. The theory continues that the survivors may be part of what is reported as legends such as Quetzalcoati and other “civilizing forces” as well as meddling forces such as “Mothman” and the “Men in Black.” This connect work on pan-dimensional beings and parallel universes, which holds that phenomena such as Bigfoot and UFOs are the result of temporary intersections between these dimensions and ours.

Anyone come across specific writings or research on along these lines? Would appreciate sources.

i like stuff about the supernatural, i read about it on various websites and many people claim to have changed their eye colour whilst in a trance, sounds dumb, but it's fascinating at the same time, i'd just like to know if anyone has had this experience.

How come in my school's textbook, the Indians who killed people are described as the nicest people in the world? In my school's textbook, they make any minority seem like they were the best people in the history of the world, but they don't do anything nice to Jews or white people. This is reverse racist AND I think it's racist to the Indians and the blacks. Although it's making them better than whites, it still separating them, and still not making them equal.

I'm not being racist. I hear mexicans say that they have the best ghetto butts, and the biggest boobs. They talk about how ghetto they get and how good they dance, like they are the best. if they are the best race, how come they act Black. They listen to the same music as us, and dress like gangsters. Didn't Black people start the whole ghetto thing Aren't they the ones with the best butt and boobs.

I just found out/realized that all my friends do something illegal or edgy, like underage drinking or drugs or selling illegal things and it seems like everyone is having sex but me and have interesting lives. I just stay in my room all day and do my homework because I have a lot and I want to get it done. I sometimes play Starcraft or Runescape because it is relaxing to do. I am the safest person I know. But life sucks, because it is boring and I have a lot of work to do that is not meaningful or fun. Should I change? I am in college at this point in life.
Or am I just really gullible and their lives aren't that interesting? And how does everyone else get their work done so quickly?
What should I do? Should I do anything?

It was a way for white people to express their disgust and disapproval of the way black people choose to live their lives. The suburbs were created by white people that chose not to have black people in their lives infecting it with crime, drugs, violence and ignorance. After decades of hard work building safe communities, the government decided that it was time to ruin the suburbs as they ruined the cities by forcing blacks into the suburbs through welfare and assisted living. They got the things for free that we worked so hard to build and keep. This is where your Social Security money went. Descrimination is now used against white people by our government. Our government is being ran by *** gers. How did this happen and what white leaders should be put to death???

I'm not racist or anything, but why is it that in school we have like "Black History Month" every year, and in English we read like every book about black people, and schools basically ignore the worst event in the world, the Holocaust. Now I'm not saying there shouldn't be a Black History Month, and I'm OK with that. But schools should do something about Jews too. I just don't think it's fair, because for hundreds of years people were horrible to Jews, black people weren't the only ones who were treated unfairly.

I'm not a shallow person. I know I'm not. But I get the sense that some of my friends think I am. They act as if I come off shallow or aloof. Some have even told me. Maybe "shallow" isn't the right word. I don't know. Maybe "stupid" or "crazy" or "rambling" would be better. I'm 100% positive I'm not shallow. I actually DO think a lot, I just usually keep my deep thoughts to myself and speak my normal thoughts. How do you avoid coming off as shallow or stupid?

you woke up in heaven and god wasn't there? Let's say you go to heaven and all the souls there tell you that this is definitely heaven but god left before they all got there. No one knows where he went, he just left a sign that said, "out to lunch". I'm not trying to poke fun at anyone's concept of heaven; I'm just asking a theoritical question about how you would feel if you got to your religion's destination and still had no questions answered by a higher power, and your questions about "life" and "self" were still up to you to figure out.

Okay so I was reading Genesis today, and I got to chapter 11 but kept going back to the first two chapters. All my life I've thought that Adam and Eve were the first humans, but the way my bible reads (it's a nasb) it's as though God created humans "male and female he created them". Then had his day of rest THEN after this made a garden, made Adam, made beast to be suitable helpers for Adam but none was found and finally made Eve.. If this is the fact it would explain a lot of the "who did cain marry" questions. It seems as though God made people and set them in motion, but then made Adam and Eve to establish a relationship with them and to set a precedent for what that would be like. Any thoughts on this, esp. from people who've studied the bible and/or gone to seminary would be greatly appreciated.

A Navy captain is on deck of his ship when he notices smoke on the horizon. He commands his ship to go towards the smoke where they find a small island with three grass huts. As they investigated the island they found a man who had claimed to be shipwrecked and living on the island for the last two years. "Are you the only one on this island?" the captain asked. "Yes" was the shipwrecked man's reply. "Why do you need three huts?" asked the captain. The shipwrecked man answered "Well, the first one is my house, and the second one is my church, and the third one is the church I used to belong to."

First off, this question is not about people's inherent right to post political views, signs, etc. on their property. I fully support that right. So please don't waste time addressing that issue.

However, my question pertains to whether those who choose to post political signs, etc. on their lawn potentially risk neighborhood "chemistry". In my opinion, it's hard enough to get along with neighbors under the best of circumstances, so openly declaring your political preference will surely alienate half of your neighborhood. Thoughts?
