I don't think the problem was just her adopting an "African" boy. The controversy surrounds how she sped through the natural adoption process and then, the father saying he didn't fully comprehend the process. The media likes to blow things out of proportion, especially when it comes to Madonna (and all the controversy she seems to stir up).
Most people thinks it's a "trend" which I think is really stupid. How is it a trend when only Angelina and Madonna have done it? Raising a child takes a lot of time.. Why would she put herself through that if she didn't really want another child?
Personally, I don't find anything wrong with her adopting an African child. Bringing attention to the crises in Africa is a good thing and it'd give him a chance for a better life unlike the millions of other African children who will be subjected to hunger/starvation, HIV/AIDS, poverty.. death.

nothing is wrong with it, but i do find it kinda weird that all of a sudden she goes to Africa and gets a baby out of no where. I mean when Angelina Jolie did it she was doing charity work and then happened to fall in love with a child, but the way Madonna did it seems kinda fake, Africa isnt the only country with poor children.

There's nothing wrong with it, the issue is that the baby's birth father is not saying he didn't understand that Madonna was taking the baby forever..I read an article about the issue in US weekly. It's all the "he said"/ "she said" thing.

I don't see anything wrong with it. The father agreed, saying if she didn't adopt him, he (the father) would end up burying him within 6 months. It was the other villagers and the press that turned the whole thing into a fiasco.

What is wrong is she just bought herself a child! Last time i checked that was illegal. I give you guys lots of money you give me a baby...and the baby still had a parent alive and well. Makes you want to ask why the child was in the orphanage to begin with. There are lots of people who would love to adopt a baby, and there are lots to be adopted..but there is so much red tape it is impossible...but if you have enough money....why didn`t she give money to the child`s father so he coulld raise his son? It is just wrong...that is unless you have money...suddenly the rules don`t apply.
