Does any1 have any ideas as to who I can be for Halloween. I go to a high school where juniors have to dress up as historical people. Can you give me some ideas as to what I can be using regular clothing...I could cut up my clothes and everything but I just want the costume to be really funny as well.

Is anybody at all actually concerned with anything more worthy and less superficial than possessions and designer clothes? I'm sick of feeling as though I haven't "made it" unless I have this house or this particular car. It all feels so shallow, pointless and banal. I'm sick of reading about the must have shoes or handbags or what this celebrity is wearing today. It makes me bored of living. I don't want to slave away just to earn to "exist" and not experience the important things in life. I could get myself a well paid job if I wanted and work in the city but nothing could sap my spirit as much as that! Anyone else feel remotely the same way? I get so depressed about it all. I feel like leaving the big city for a quiet, simple life sometimes instead of trying to "compete".

I know this is going to generate a lot of fervent opinions, but hopefully some of them are INTERESTING too. We say people try to 'play god' when they interfere and try to control things that are none of their buisness. But does God have the right to interfere in our lives? Should he bring us trials and tribulations that would make us stronger, even if they are unwelcomed? Does God have the right to play god with our lives?

Note: if you are atheist try not to bring your personal opinions in, for this one we're going to assume that there is a god of some sort.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are the oldest manuscript ever found. I've seen them. They describe the origins of Christianity. Throughout my life I have turned to God and he has delivered. Therefore, I believe. You say some people cannot believe what they can't see. Well, can you see wind? No, but its there, right. It is foolish to worship other gods and just don't believe. Read the old testament. See how God's wrath came down on the Israelites. I don't want anyone to yield to Satan. We all should go to heaven.

In the bible God created "man" in "his image". Thus Adam was created with a penis like God. There wasn't even any idea of creating a female until Adam said he was lonely and wanted a mate. Then God figured out somewhere for Adam to stick his penis. So why does God have a penis then? Who is he boinking?

to clarify, im pulling these conclusions from biblical standpoint not because i personally believe it, (i neither believe in god nor satan). however the past couple times ive asked this the only answers ive gotten were either name calling, or condemnation, or reoccuring verses. now please read what im asking for. im asking for a VERSE (we know you like to quote them all the time), where satan himself, states a lie. (not where the bible ACCUSES satan of lying but one of satan physically lying) now keep in mind that satan telling adam and eve that the fruit wouldnt "surely" kill them and they would become like god, was the truth, as adam and eve lived at least another 600 years, and they became as god knowing right from wrong. neither is tempting a form of lying, (especially when temping that person is giving him/her food/water after theyve been in the desert for so many days - that seems more good then evil to me) so again i will ask for VERSES only, that satan SAYS a lie.
