They all need to leave and get in line behind those who are doing it legally! My husband and I are doing it legally, and it feels like we're the ones being penalized by the government - it has cost us thousands of dollars and tons of paperwork, while the illegals are living off welfare that we're paying for with our hard-earned money! It drives me crazy!

The whole concept is pretty hypocritical, since almost NONE of us (exc. for Native Americans) would even BE here if it weren't for immigration! Why are some groups welcomed and others, like Mexican, are not? RACISM (and to a great degree, political agendas)! As Carlos Mencia said, after they build the wall, all the rich, white folks will be calling Mexico, offering to pay MORE to have them come back & do all the jobs THEY (the rich and most other Americans) don't want to do!

The only thing I worry about, w/immigration of any group, is the loss of jobs for Americans already here and slipping into poverty and unemployment, but IMO, that is mostly the fault of big business and outsourcing, NOT illegal immigrants.

So, I think they should just freaking LEGALIZE it!

United States is completely formed with immigrants since the inception of the country as it is today. From the British that founded the nation to the latin illegals that are crossing today.

Beginning the XX century a wave of European immigrants arrived over there. Why do the Americans tolerate the presence of those people in that time and not the presence of latin immigrants today?

I wonder how many people arrived in that time illegally to U.S.

Were they acceptable because came from Europe? Or maybe, because "American" people felt that there was a common root that is not the same corresponding to the NATIVE REAL AMERICANS that lived in these terriotories centuries before them?

I think it is a racial issue deeply rooted in many sectors of American society.

To be honest, I don't care one way or the other. This globe is f*cked up anyway! So what difference does it make in this day and time? People in general are not going to be happy anyway! They're never satisfied. People got issues going to bed! I say let it go and try moving onto something more positive like finding a cure for all of these incurable diseases that these nasty a*s people are out here spreading. Yeah---take the energy about the illegal immigrants and put towards something more needed. Go march on your nearest Federal Hall Building with signs stating that you want more money funded for the cure for ANYTHING!

If DHS (dept of homeland security) would process applications faster we wouldn't have so many illegal people here, some wait for 5 years after applying to become a citizen..all the while paying taxes and working menial jobs just to stay here!
If you are talking about people who come here don't get a ITN (taxpayer number) and don't file taxes, drain the system...they need to go! But productive members of society should be allowed to live anywhere in the world legally

I feel empathy for them and I try to remember that the US is a country of immigrants, we all immigrated here at one point or another to find a better life. On the other hand I think we need an immigration policy that is balanced and fair between being a country that welcomes the influx and contributions of others but perserves a reasonable quality of life for its citizens. I think those that are willing to work and to be responsible citizens should have the a chance to stay if possible. I also think that if you immigrate to a country you should be willing to learn its language and adapt yourself somewhat to its culture. We are moving to Europe and I don't expect their society to support me nor do I expect to want everyone to accomodate my only speaking English. I am learning their language.

I honestly think they are destroying an already taxed economy. If you steal you go to jail because you broke the law. If you kill someone you go to prison because you broke the law. So then why am I always the bad girl for pointing out the obvious. If you were here legally we wouldn't call it being an Illegal alien. But you are here illegally taxing an already strapped economy and anytime someone says anything about it you scream racism or exploitation. Get legal or get out.

I feel like they have definately made an impact on our economy, but I do not think they should have a free ride. If they want to be in America i think they should do it legally. America has always respected those coming into the states to flee their countries, but doing it illegally is undermining our goverment and costing us all.

illegal immigrants should stay. they come here to work , go to school have a better future. for example in Mexico about 60% of the people don't have jobs, because there's none.what would you do if in your country ,there wasn't any jobs ? you would be willing to leave your country to have a better life.

They should be allowed to stay!! They only want a better life for themselves.
Anyone who has not spent time living in Mexico or Latin America should not be so quick to judge. You'd probably haul yourself over here too if you could.
