i need a ghost story for english class but i want a non scary one. help? dont give scary ones!

History and the bible show that it is wrong to follow the traditions of man and not Gods laws. History and the Bible also prove these holidays and many others to be rooted in paganism yet many of us christians say"oh well" its all just fun. Does God see it as fun? Did you know that before, during, and after Jesus was born the Hebrews/Jews did not celebrate birthdays due to vanity Etc. They did not even celebrate their own birthdays why do we celebrate his? None of the disciples celebrated the birth of Christ. They did however celebrate his death.His death and resurection were of more signifigance than his birth. Not to mention December 25th wasn't even his birthday. The bible proves this too(do research) I don't know it all but I want to do what is pleasing to my Lord and no more. I don't think practicing paganism by celebrating their holidays would please him........do you. And if you think he doesn't care I pray that you think again. God Bless All !!

than have to take their opinions, thoughts and feelings seriously? Is it a way to dismiss valid thoughts and ideas that you do not agree with just by saying that the people are misguided, being confused by the devil, etcetera?

Isn't this how you deal with thoughts and ideas that are threatening to what you believe, and you know your faith is not strong enough to combat these ideas?

I'm a 43 year-old black, gay, unpartnered male. I started my coming-out process around age 30. I had a rather poor relationship with an emotionally volatile mother and a father who was more "businesslike". I was a pretty sensitive adolescent - wouldn't wish being a Pisces on anyone. Most of my 20's were spent working in the suburbs and going to church, hoping the gay thing would just evaporate. In my 30's I did a 180, figuring it was real, and starting a coming-out process at age 30, hoping to find dating partners and ... "experiences". I rarely got the latter; none of the former. At 43, I face the prospect - and I'm not unique, of course, I realize that - that I may wind up "flying solo" for life. No cutie to call a partner, no one to hold hands with, no intimate fantasies fulfilled. (Too much information? Sorry. I'm taking a chance posting this here.) Maybe I didn't take enough chances. Maybe I should have moved elsewhere. Ideas, anyone?

Oh back to the cheerleader question, I was just asking because I watched a movie tonight that had depictions of cheerleaders of 30-some years ago.

We can't see a good deed if there is no evil doer.
We learn good things because there is bad things.
We can see black when there is white (in duo tone mode), vice versa.

Does satan the most obey creature that God created? He obey God, all times just to whisper on every ears and heart to mislead man.

Will God reward Satan at the end for his absolute obedience?
Satan knows God, met God, talked to God... do we?

I'm just wondering.
When you die do only Christians go to heaven because they are "Saved".
Do the good people go to heaven?
Does everyone go to heaven?

Did Jesus die for the sins of the world or just for the Christians?

Why why why? Those televangelists are the tackiest things in the world. I was just watching a mass conversion and it was frightening. The people in the audience were scary looking and they were chanting. How can gaining salvation and making money for a tv station co-exist? How can anybody actually buy in to this junk? I am not upset that he is gay, only that his school is giving him so much trouble. Thankfully his English teacher is helping us (we are at her house now). Kids started out teasing him and now they are making death threats (hang him/shoot him). I, my son, nor his teacher can get the school to believe us or help us. They only want to blame him if he retaliates or takes up for himself. They never catch the students, only my son. Then they want to discipline him. I have decided to move, but unfortunately I am on a lay off from my work and money is scarce at this time. I will find a way to get the money to move to a more civilized community. But in the meantime, I'd like to home school my son. But the school is making it hard for us. My son's teacher let me see the wonderful advice you all gave her and encouraged me to seek help from you. Can anyone tell me what I should do? Thank you so much!

I was a bit offended today when I saw this. Because My mom and dad are Catholics and obviously believe in Jesus (PBUH). And I did not like the fact that they where called "people without religion". I do not think that is right. Why would anyone say such a thing?

It seems to me that the Democrats, and Bill Clinton, have greater morals than the Republicans. I mean, the Foley Scandal. Tom Foley, a leading Republican congressman, admitted to being a gay petafile. He was writing sexually explicit messages to underage boys. And now he is denying allegations that he had sex with priests. And then the Republicans covered up for him. What kind of immoral, sick people would do that. These people are supposed to be abiding by the just governmental system that our founding fathers set forth, not illegally sexually exploiting themselves. Do Republicans have any morals?


What Clinton did may have been immoral, but what Foley did was unlawful and immoral.
