Why why why? Those televangelists are the tackiest things in the world. I was just watching a mass conversion and it was frightening. The people in the audience were scary looking and they were chanting. How can gaining salvation and making money for a tv station co-exist? How can anybody actually buy in to this junk? Please explain it to me

Im not that religious, I was just flipping channels and the spectacle caught my eye.

It's bunk. Use your head and be smart. God gave us a brain to recognize this.

I agree, but I also know that what reaches and ministers to one may turn another off. I know what you're saying about the hype and money raising...I think it's far from what God would want. But, we do have the option of not watching those programs and I usually click my remote right on by them.

TV Church is only fearful to those who are blinded by Satan.
Salvation comes from God not TV nor from the people who believe.

to be honest yes some are very scary! but some............... are really good! everyone has a differant style and differant taste. find one that really connects with u and i promise.... u will start to understand and see things that others cannot. that is when u know u are on the right track. when u start getting revelation(seeing things differant). when y look for those things he will start to show them to u . best of luck

There are a variety of TV church services. Many are less theatrical then you describe and bring a lot of comfort to those who cannot go to church--like the homebound elderly.
