The idea of Heaven negates the value of our life here in *existence.* All religions are anti-life because they dismiss the value of the individual, the human mind, and our most valuable and unique tool: our ability to reason. So, either you want your heaven, your god, to shut up and die, or you want to find out all you can about this world, follow your passions, do the right thing, and live a life of happiness and success.

Using logic and the words of various sects of Christianity, Heaven would be a place of high walls to prevent those behind them from knowing others, not of their Christian sect, had made the trip to heaven.
On your last question; If Jesus "died for the sins of the world," why do several Christian sects believe that the "original sin" of Adam and Eve still hangs over all humans?

Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. If you have faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour you are a christian.
Being a good person will not get you to heaven. God wants perfection (Matthew 8:45). But because no one is perfect (Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10) and the wages of sin is death in hell (Revelation 20:10) we must look to the cross, it is the gift of God (Romans 5:8, Romans 6:23).
You are saved through faith in Jesus Christ. Confess, repent and renounce your sins (Romans 2:1-2).
Ask Him to forgive you (1 John 1:9) and submit your will to Him (James 4:7).
God Bless You.

well the bible says if you just believe in Jesus, and that he died for your sins, you will go to heaven. If you are right, good, if you are wrong, you still live a life of belief and end up the same place as athiests, how do you want to live your life now? is the question you need to ask yourself..

Well if you read the bible you will find out that only a certain number of people are chosen to go to heaven. If you liked you can find this in Revelations 14:1,3. I believe that people who are good and follow what god says will survive but they will live here on earth in paradise and that all evil will be destroyed in the future. Write back on what YOU think about this.

there's a heaven and hell in every religion. The greeks believed in the feilds of elysuim and the torments of the underworld, the egyptian hell was an endless labyrinth filled with man eating crocodiles and the mayans believed that evil people went to a place with very little air and no light--the criterion for entering into these heavens is subjective too, but it is a universal belief that good people go to the good place and bad people go somewhere to suffer

Im a muslim and I believe whoever goes to heaven is the one whom God sends to heaven.. no matter what religion you are. it all ends up with your personal relationship between you and God.. no one here can judge you or determine what Gods plan for you is.. You dont know whats in the heart and mind of that person. Everyone might say "oh so and so is a good christian, surely he is going to heaven".. but you dont know what deep dark secrets that person is holding.. Only God knows..

That's tell'em 'shot-pot.
God ask that we be faithful of the little thing (life) then he'll give us bigger things(heaven)
.....spiritually connect to life which is the universe and people that God call in existence.......since we don't know whose going to heaven can you imagine sharing heaven
Ask yourself..... with someone whom you didn't like; 'hurt; 'pass by; 'overlook; 'disregarded love for race, age, sex while on earth when we're human fill with compassion, able to feel, touch, see, and hear, hurt, cry verses in heaven where there's no more sickness, hurt, pain, tears, crying.
Then.....
Asks yourself do you feel deserving to share heaven with ex-cons, ex-murders, ex-child molesters, ex-KKK, ex-rapist with all your goodness(is Martin Luther King, Robert 'n John F. Kennedy, Malcolm X sharing heaven with their.....Jon Bonnet, the four black girls in Alabama and others with their ?)
.....as it states Jesus die for the sins of the world........good Q: who is going to heaven!!!!!

Only people who believe in Christ will go to heaven.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that everyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Romans10:8-13 Salvation that comes from trusting Christ - which is the message we preach is already within easy reach. In fact, the Scriptures say, "The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart."
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who believes in him will not be disappointed. Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They all have the same Lord, who generously gives his riches to all who ask for them. For ANYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

The Bible is clear on who gets to heaven, and goodness has nothing to do with it.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” -Ephesians 2:8,9
Take a look at this article:

That should answer your question.
