I was a Christian and the post I have seen here make me feel sorry I was one , they have confirmed my choice, I now do not belong to any religion even if I believe in God. Has anyone changed from one belief to another if so why ?or WHAT life experience brought you to that path? THANK YOU

I'm having a hard time lately. When they cause so much suffering with their stances on stem cell research and equal rights for same-sex couples I have anger. I've seen so much psychological pain wrought with their horrible and warped sick rantings about hell and judgement. The deluded use of god and judgement as a projected mechanism for attack knows no bounds. And the infantile, ego-based morality and spirituality that is based on the selfish mechanism of reward and punishment is mind-boggling; they can't even fathom morality or spirituality without a system based on reward and punishment! I'm ranting because I'm tired of these minds that are brick walls.

This is my question -

If a religious fundamentalist believes that homosexuality is a choice and also that it is unnatural, it may pose an ethics question for them later on...

If scientists are able to alter the hormonal chemistry or DNA of an unborn child to prevent the presence of "the gay gene" - would religious fundamentalists support this procedure?

Because anyone who supports this procedure would be then be admitting that
a) God makes mistakes
b) homosexuality is a natural occurance
c) doctors are authorized to "play God"

This question is not meant to offend anyone - no matter what their beliefs.... I really just want to know (if this became a reality) if fundamentalists would find it more pertinent to "tamper with nature to fit the book" or if they would "accept that God has his reasons and leave well enough alone"....

I am going to be a construction worker for halloween but dont know what shoes to wear. I kno real constuction workers just were nasty old boots but this is the only time a year that girl can get away dressing slutty. lol its not that slutty of an outfit but i need to find shoes. possibly heals. any ideas? please help only one more week!
