This relates to my "Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays" question.

Do you use holiday lights in December? If so, why and how?

I use white lights for the Winter Solstice, a European Pagan holiday, as it is about the return of the light to the world. The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, so we celebrate that light will come back and things will only get brighter from here on in.

and yet deny he was the son of God and that he rose from the dead. Jesus said he was going to be raised from the dead so if he did not do what he said he would be a liar and not a great prophet. The muslim's can't deny this.

A friend of mine is from Zambia, she says that she belonged to a tribe which got u thinking about how a tribe is defined. Even she wasn't sure what it means to be part of a tribe. So, what is a tribe and how would a tribe become something other than a tribe (a nation?)

My heart aches for those that don't know the unconditional love of Christ and it hurts for those that don't want to know Him. He is God, he is love and peace. Who wouldn't want that? He is my everything!

The ChristiansI have been with get too strung up on what they believe and they can't accept a person for who they are and the type of person they are. I was good to her. I didn't abuse her. We spent time together. I told her I loved her. I kissed her good night every night. Yet, she couldn't look past me being an atheist. I think pagans/atheists/agnostics will be more understanding... should I completely forsake all Christian women from now on and steer towards these others?

Things were not so bad. Everyone that I know of, even those that have heard both sides from her as well say that the things that were at an issue were trivial things. Nothing we couldn't work through. Yet, the Christian wants to give up without even hardly trying. Not to mention, I am 80% sure she had cheated on me... totally Un-Christianlike. How very interesting eh?

Will this lead to the world war we are all waiting for ?

The prime minister did say Monday that Ahmadinejad's threats against Israel must not be disregarded.

"It is inconceivable that ... a member of the United Nations continues to be received throughout the world as a legitimate leader while he stands up and says another U.N. member state should be wiped off the map," he said.

"We shall never repeat the mistakes of 60 years ago, of taking things lightly, ignoring what was being heard then when it was still possible to save lives," he added, in an allusion to the Nazi genocide of 6 million Jews in Europe.

People around R&S always ask questions and imply that religious faith is the opium of the masses, the crutch of the weak. Why?

My faith allows me to face trouble without despair. It gives me confidence to believe that tomorrow may be a better day. It encourages me to do better for myself and meet my potential.

If a non-religious person can make the same claims...and many of them do, then how is it that I'm weaker than they are?

I spent the last year in Guatemala and heard this expression a lot... never quite knew what it meant. I'm assuming it's slang? Something along the lines of "no way"/"damn"/"wow" etc?? I don't plan on hearing it in Canada, and I know I won't have occassion to use it, either.. BUT, I'm still curious. So enlighten me, por favor!!
Muchas gracias!!!
