A friend of mine is from Zambia, she says that she belonged to a tribe which got u thinking about how a tribe is defined. Even she wasn't sure what it means to be part of a tribe. So, what is a tribe and how would a tribe become something other than a tribe (a nation?)

Apparently it is strictly defined as a certain % of then population.

In Canada we have tribes.
They are groups of aboriginal people that all speak the same language. A group of tribes could decide to help each other and form a nation. They would have to have a common language

As long as one person exists who claims to be the member of any tribe; then that tribe exists...A nation is made up of as many tribes as are allowed to live within it's arbitrary boundries..

In the US our government very thoughtfully arranged for the native population to be put into reservations(for whose protection it is no longer clear) which are called ghettos in certain areas of this and other nations...ahhh, what a tangled web we weave...

We have tribes in South Africa, England has tribes, they just call it different dialects.

All started from the monkey worshiping religion(they call it) of hinduism. It started as casts and cast system.
