Just out of curiosity, is it wrong for a jew to celebrate christmas without the acknowledgement of Christ?
For example, whether you want to admit it or not, Christmas has become an American holiday with Santa, reindeer, and the rest of the gang. So would it be wrong for a jew to celebrate the santa christmas secularly, while honoring Chanukkah spritually?
I'm looking for answers from other jews mainly, not christians, don't try to convert me Jesus folks. Thanks.

I was told that it's the devil's day blah blah and I am Christain so I don't want to like worhsip the devil! But would it hurt or be wrong if i went to a halloween party, trick or treated, decorated my house, or like wear halloween colors that day? Does it really matter? This is what really got me nervous: One very evil tradition is the celebration of Halloween. No Christian should partake in the activities of this holiday, nor should they allow their children to do so. We can discern the evil of this day by taking a look at the festivities that are associated with its celebration. Children are dressed as witches, goblins, ghosts, little devils and fortune tellers. All these are representatives of Satan's kingdom.


Oh, and if you have something bad to say about God or Christains, I'd rather you not answer this question.

Dont get me wrong,

Yes the country is poor, but I’m beginning to question how much of a $h!t hole this place really is if people and their mom wants to concentrate on Africa and ignore the rest of the world. I cannot believe Africa is the ONLY poor country and everyone else is okay. So is it the poorest of poor?

I want to see someone go into Asia, South American, Or Europe and show all the poor, naked, "wild", uneducated , beatnick people living in bushes and/or squalor and get aid for them. I KNOW they exist....
Yes I support Africa and want to help them. The AIDS crisis is huge, but I dont think we really UNDERSTAND it or the poverty, we just know its "really ,really bad,and they NEED our help". I never wanna play “blame the victim”, and say a bunch of sick people should just shut-up, work harder and get out of it. Because THAT is just atrocious ignorance and insensitivity.

Is this just another way we exploit Africans or What? Through the media?

My fiance was killed in a car wreck 5 years ago. I have learned to deal with it over the years, but still and very often I have dreams about him. Sometimes the dreams are very real and the ones that make me wonder are the ones where he is laying in my bed next to me or holding me. This one is what I am asking about, is it possible that it is his ghost that I feel holding me in my dream. (most times I dont feel things in my dreams....but with these I can actually feel him there)

My mom gave me a necklace and it has two crosses on it and different cross on each side, making a total of 4 crosses, all with circles in the middle of the cross each containing a different picture. My mom got it from her grandma, who's catholic. I wasn't raised in the church so, I apologize if I get anything wrong.The first cross has the Virgin Mary on it and around her it says "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have [illegible] recourse to thee." On the back of that cross, it says "on our way" and in the circle in the middle, there's a M with a cross on top of it. The next cross has a man holding a baby (Jesus?) and on one arm of the cross, theres an M, on the other two there's a symbol that looks like an S with the top cut off. The bottom arm says "Be With Us". The last cross has what looks like some sort of flower in the middle and a possible plant that looks like a trident on each arm of the cross.
Thank you so much! I'm really curious to find out what they mean.
