Most who beleive this doctrine try to explain it with a 3 leaf clover, an egg, or the differnt stages of water. Mostly , they just say it's a mystery and that God is too wonderful too understand. In fact, the Bible actually encourages one to get to know God and his wonderful purposes. The trinity confuses Him and Jesus Christ and actually dates back to Babylonian times and Egyptian mythology, Hindu, Greek, etc...

The Trinity can be understood by man if one uses an open mind. When a cult leader like Jesus claims to be God, one can use critical thinking skills to see that this must be a false statement.
Here is a demonstration of these skills at work.
Jesus claims that he is God. God is omnipotent. God can logically do anything which would include becoming a man. But man is NOT omnipotent. Man requires oxygen in the blood stream, otherwise death occurs in just minutes. Gravity restricts man's movements to walking, running, leaping maybe five to seven feet off the ground. Man can be killed in a variety of ways.
So then the question is: can God change Himself into something that is not omnipotent and still be God? The answer is clearly no, unless example provides other answers. Let's look at Jesus and judge whether or not he could have been God.
He did nothing to fulfill Old Testament prophesy about a Messiah coming to free the Israelites from the yoke of foreign oppression. When the prophecies were written in the Old Testament, the foreign oppressor was Babylon. When Jesus was alive, the foreign oppressor was Rome. In either case, the Messiah, had he been genuine, would have freed Israel by military means, similar to methods illustrated time and time again in Judges and other books wherein the Jews attack their enemies, kill the enemy soldiers, kill off all members of that tribe, and burn all of their cultural remnants.
Jesus did not free Israel from the yoke of foreign oppression. Therefore he was not the Messiah prophesied. Therefore it is unlike, almost certain, he was not God. Actually being God was not a requirement for the Messiah in the first place. So when Jesus is saying you have seen God when you have seen Jesus, this was a lie.
The Trinity is also composed of the Holy Spirit. This is a dubious entity from the word go and was actually borrowed from the Pythagorean spiritualism or mysticism, if you will.
So, you have a logical problem with God being Man, and a dubious spiritual power or entity borrowed from the Greeks, combine them all, and it is sooooo non-sensical that all one can say in its defense is that it cannot be understood. Of course not. It is utter nonsense and totally illogical.

As strange as it may seem, those who admit that the trinity is a mystery will do their best to explain it. To describe it, they use silly illustrations like an egg or the three forms of water. How can the Bible explain the trinity when the trinity was put together more than three hundred years after the Bible was completed?

I believe that nobody realy can explain the trinity but some day we will
understand if God wants us to.
Deu 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
In Christ in LOve,

the term trinity is not biblical. nor the idea that God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is EQUAL Gods. Jesus said that the Father is greater than he is. but to explain the trinity, just think of yourself. you have a mind, body and spirit. Just like the Father as the head or mind, Jesus as the flesh or body and the Holy Spirit. hope it helped. God bless.

The trinity is an abstract idea created by religions much older than Christianity. It cannot be understood because it is a false teaching designed by Satan to confuse people so much that they give up trying to get to know God.

I don't think we can fully understand exactly what the Trinity involves, but that is where faith comes in. I can give you a good definition for it, though.
"There is one only and true God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three coeternal and coequal Persons, the same in substance but distinct in subsistence." (Warfield)
I think it's better to think of it as a Triunity, because it's not three gods it's one God in three Persons.

It is not that hard to understand from my pov... if you would like to read my pov you may at:
http://pages.zdnet.com/mikevanauken/outreach/id36.html
It is not all that long and is what I have come to think... it is not exactly in line with most of my brothers and sisters in The Christian Faith ... but it is not, IMO, against God's Word.
