Hi Sarah: Ex-Catholic here elhamdulillah now Muslim.

Here is the thing:

1-) On Luke 8:2 She is mentioned as one of the people who provided material goods for Jesus (PBUH) and his followers.

2-) Jesus (PBUH) is said to have casted 7 demons off of her

3-) on Matt 27:55 Mark 15:41 and Luke 23:55 she seems to accompany Jesus (PBUH) to the last trip he made to Jerusalem.

4-) Also she is mentione in one of the stories of the ressurection as being in the tomb of juses (PBUH) and she went and told the apostle Peter about it.

5-) It is said she met Jesus on the way there if I am correct and said something like:

"Jesus said to her, 'Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, "I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God."'"

Saint Mary Magdalene was the first witness to the resurrection of Jesus. (See the 20th Chapter of the Gospel of John).

She was one of Jesus' followers during his ministry, and was present at the cross when he died.

There is some debate on whether she is the woman in Luke 7 who was a notorious sinner. Most biblical scholars believe that Mary Magdalene was not the notorious sinner.

The 8th chapter of the Gospel of Luke describes Mary Magdalene as being healed and supporting Jesus' ministry out of her means.

With love in Christ.

It dose not matter what the RCs coincider her... RCs are not of The True Christian Faith...

Mary Magdalene was a prostitute who was saved by Jesus The Christ. She became a deciple of Christ and was a loyal and important part of the group of deciples who later became The Body of The True Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. The Church consists of all those of The True Christian Faith.

Your name is Sarah...Beautiful! My belief is that Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute....the catholic church had to figure out how to explain her presence during the time of Jesus. I truly believe that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were united as husband and wife...she was a great benefactor in helping Jesus financially..Man has always tried to "downplay" a Woman's role in History...when in fact Women have played a very large and important roles in our history. As Mary Magdalene did(Sarah is the name of a Princess ..my daughter is named Sarah)

No. M-M was the victim of unfortunate placement in the Bible. Her story comes immediately after the story of ANOTHER woman, who happened to be a prostitute. She was not. She had been posessed by devils, but Jesus cast them out. She followed him ever after.

Catholocism and Christianity are two different things - don't get me going. THE CHURCH wants you to believe one thing - that which supports THE CHURCH! THE CHURCH says she was a prostitute. Others have many other opinions.
I think if a person does their level best to be a good person and help others - they shouldn't have to follow anyone's centuries old dogma to get into heaven. It worked in the Middle Ages. Some still follow it blindly. Do unto others...

Mary was a woman who had seven demons cast out of her by Jesus. Her occupation is never listed in the bible. She was also present at Jesus' crucifixion and was the first to see Jesus after His resurrection.
