My mom gave me a necklace and it has two crosses on it and different cross on each side, making a total of 4 crosses, all with circles in the middle of the cross each containing a different picture. My mom got it from her grandma, who's catholic. I wasn't raised in the church so, I apologize if I get anything wrong. The first cross has the Virgin Mary on it and around her it says "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have [illegible] recourse to thee." On the back of that cross, it says "on our way" and in the circle in the middle, there's a M with a cross on top of it. The next cross has a man holding a baby (Jesus?) and on one arm of the cross, theres an M, on the other two there's a symbol that looks like an S with the top cut off. The bottom arm says "Be With Us". The last cross has what looks like some sort of flower in the middle and a possible plant that looks like a trident on each arm of the cross.
Thank you so much! I'm really curious to find out what they mean.

I think it's simple overkill.

The phrase "O Mary, conceived...." is usually in connection with a Miraculous Medal. The capital "M" is an old symbol for Mary. The man holding a baby would most likely represent St. Joseph holding the infant Jesus. Not sure about the rest of it. Too bad you couldn't paste in a picture.

I am sure it means nothing but it really sounds like a unique, beautiful piece of Catholic jewelry.. the plant and flower, I am sure, are or is.. a lily.. You should cherish it as being a unique piece of jewelry

actually the saint holding the baby is most likely saint anthony--forgive me for asking, but are you of mexican or black descent, because this necklace sounds like it might be santerian--especially with the "M" you mentioned--very common because it stands for metres, and is associated with mary--the "S"-like symbol also sounds familiar--they use a lot of curly-que's in afro/carribaen-judeo syncrestic art
