Is it even possible to have the story of Adam and Eve be true without evolution? People now have genetic diseases, which they must have inherited from their parents, who got it from theirs and so on until it goes back to Adam and Eve, who must have had it themselves for it to work. (Same thing with different ethnicities.) God wouldn't have made them with flaws and medical issues though, so wouldn't evolution have to be a part of that story for it to be true? Or is there some other explanation..?

I'm old enough to remember, that except for really bad christmas music albums, christmas merchandise didn't come out until the day after thanksgiving. I actually saw Christmas stuff out with school supplies in September. Too soon or not soon enough? What do you think?

from other cultures (even though language may be a barrier) and that within those cultures I would make friends. However, I have never had the opportunity to do this, and that is why I like Q&A as I feel that it is a level playing field where issues can be discussed without fear of repriasal (that is apart from silly violations).

How do you feel about the subject of all being a child of the universe and as such should try and get on with each other..no matter what?

many Christians believe that DnD is an evil game. and mainly because the books such as the monster manual depict horrible monsters to fight and sometime describe them as demons.
and i understand that they see this as playing with evil and such.

some however go out of their way to lie about the game. one article that i read was from a Christian the claimed to have converted form Satanism and claimed that he showed the designers of the game his spellbook and tlaked for hours about real black magic rituals. so that they could make the game as real as possible. he claims that the first edition book "Eldrich Magic' depicts a woman being sacrificed on a statnic altar on the cover.
when in fact the book shows a woman (druidess) laying on a tree stump.

so my question here is.

if there were a game designed like DnD but the heroes were from biblical times and used the word of god to smite evil. and the stories took them through bible lessons would it still be evil and demonic?

We have three religions, a bit related historically.

Islam seems to say,

"Men are superior to women on account of the qualities with which God has gifted the one above the other, and on account of the outlay they make from their substance for them. Virtuous women are obedient, careful, during the husband's absence, because God has of them been careful. But chide those for whose refractoriness you have cause to fear; remove them into beds apart, and scourge them: but if they are obedient to you, then seek not occasion against them: verily, God is High, Great!" (Quran, 4:34)

St. Paul seems to say,

"Let the woman learn in silence, with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence." (1 Timothy 2:11-12)

What is Jewish religious law regarding a woman's role in marriage? Actually curious, not trying to inflame.

I am a 24 year old man with lust problem. I have been that way since 16. It is very frustrating, depressing to go through it because it bothers me every day.
The problem I want to consult is about adult magazines in bookstore. I like going to bookstore to read. Whenever I go there, I pass by the shelf that contains full of adult magazines which is full of Playboy, Penthouse, Maxim, FHM, etc. I am sure it is hard to resist for a lot of men. It is extra harder for a guy with lust problem like me.
The women on the cover look so hot, sexy, attractive that I just want to pick up the magazine and look through the centerfolds. One side of my mind says it is normal and ok to look at such photos. Ther other side says I should stay away from them which add fuels to my lust, fantasy problems.
I need ur supports on this critical problem of mine. The goal is clear. I wanna be a man of sexual integrity. But the road is so narrow, full of obstacles and challenges. Can you give me advice?

okay i have an A in World History and it really does help that I brag. So now everyone copies off me. it's so annoying. half the people that copy off me don't even like me. i don't know how to tell them no. this other girl i want to punch her so bad. when i'm doing my classwork she was like "hurry it up already." she was not doing anything. she was waiting for me to finish so she could copy. she is usually a productive student. i told her "i'm reading the section." she was like "why the f**k are you reading the section?" she had the nerve to give me attitude. how do i stand up to this crowd of copiers? Should i tell the teacher to move me? If i do, i feel like that's something a wuss would do. It's bugging me because they copy me word for word, answer be answer and they even copy my drawings. I swear it's becoming incredibly obvious someone is copying.

ALLAH — for Muslims the greatest and most inclusive of the Names of God, an Arabic word of rich and varied meaning, denoting the one who is adored in worship, who creates all that exists, who has priority over all creation, who is lofty and hidden, who confounds all human understanding. It is exactly the same word as, in Hebrew, the Jews use for God (eloh), the word which Jesus Christ used in Aramaic when he prayed to God. God has an identical name in Judaism, Christianity and Islam; Allah is the same God worshipped by Muslims, Christians and Jews.

"He is God, the One God,
Independent and Sought by all;
He begets not, nor is He begotten,
and there is none like unto Him.
(The Holy Qur'an Chapter of Sincerity of Faith)
