No. The gigantic spider in charge of the vatican ensures that the glorious catholic tradition of pedophilia will continue on into the next millenium.

Yes, no problem.

In 2004 alone, I can easily think of the

943,264 Infant Baptisms
80,817 Adult Baptisms
73,684 Adults Received into Full Communion

6,148 Catholic elementary schools educating 1,674,317 students
1,354 Catholic high schools educating 679,506 students
231 Catholic Colleges and Universities educating 763,757 students

573 Catholic hospitals treating 84,723,272 patients
392 Catholic health centers treating 6,054,544 patients

More than 1,789 local Catholic Charities agencies and institutions provided services to 7,199,271 individuals in need of help.

And that's only inside the United States.

With love in Christ.

Yes, actually I can, and I'd appreciate it if you'd be more religiously tolerant.

I do not think of Roman Catholics negatively, although I admit that I have left the Church on somewhat less than friendly terms due to certain social issues.

When I think of Roman Catholic, I think of my high school chaplain, whom I think is one of the greatest men I've ever had the fortune to meet. He is a great philosopher, funny as hell, and really, truly cares about all people. He is a priest, but he is most certainly not a pedophile.

Of course. I'm an Italian Catholic. When I hear the term "Catholic", I tend to think of amazing cathedrals, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and centuries of beautiful liturgical ritual. I would think of these things a lot quicker then I'd think of a media sensation that has, given the Church's long history, erupted fairly recently. Having said that, I obviously deplore the scandals of the Church--both the pedophilia scandals and others--but no, that's not my defining image of the Church, regardless of how much anti-Catholics would like for it to be.

Yes, because not all Roman Catholics have that problem, and I have heard of plenty of other religions with the same type of scandals within their leadership. The media is anti God, but especially anti Christian, and anti patriotism; so they pick on the people they hate, like Catholics and republicans and don't report on the scandals of the other side. America is being conditioned by the leftist media to believe a lot of garbage and lies. May God have Mercy on us all.

I am not Catholic but I think you may be paying too much attention to the things which are bad and therefore stick in the brain as opposed to the good which includes those who are just practicing their faith and not hurting anyone. There is no religion that is free from some sot of tarnish over the last few years.

You know, I'm not Catholic but I am a Christian and I certainly don't agree with the things that have happened in the Catholic religion in the past 5 years .. but this is uncalled for.

Have you nothing meaningful to say?

I don't think of the actually act of pedophilia, but the word does come to mind.

No I can't actually. Along with quite a few other atrocities. Like the inquisition. And the pope.

Sure, I can do that--it's just hard not to think "narrow-minded and intolerant." And I was born Catholic. Came to my senses years ago.
