No I haven't notice this but we are Only human and have our own personal truths and they should be respected by both groups.
Great question!

Atheism is a belief built on skepticism and rejection. Simply put, one refuses to believe in God or accept God because of their own personal desires or convictions. Any beliefs are optional, such as evolution or extra-terrestrial intelligence. It is an egotistical form of belief, not holding into account any form of general acceptance by a population.
Christianity does not have a lack of evidence though their is no evidence to refute its fundamental teachings. It is built on faith, wisdom, knowledge, and acceptance that the Word is the Truth and God will fulfill His promises and prophecies. The only reason to not believe is because one is skeptical that Jesus ascended for everything else is evidently clear from scriptures and history, Jesus was born, worked miracles, died on a cross, buried in a tomb, and upon the third day the tomb was empty, these things are not up for debate, rejecting them is due to ignorance.

Yes it is Amazing.
And Yes, that is how it Works.
Between People, Religious Organizations etc.
You can Believe that your Right and be Wrong (Decieved).
Our Enemys are so Blinded by Deception---they Think were the Bad Guys.
You have the Right to Believe what you Want to.
If All of the Belief Systems in the World cannot Prove their System to Others, How do you Tell Who is Right?
It is in the Bible.
The Prophet of GOD Called Fire down on his Sacrifice and FIRE came DOWN.
The Power of GOD backs the Guys in the White Hats.
It is That Simple.

Yes, I have noticed some similarities.
The object of the view changes (god / no god) but the manner of heavyhanded, intolerant, unforgiving, judgmental,
arrogant b.s. that hurt atheists as young people & drove them away from (in the US, usually a christian church) that most of them grew up in is still reflected in their own bitter speech.
Considering where it comes from, and how it must be very trying at times to live in a country with alot of bible-thumping so-called christians mixed up with politics (Ceaser's domain) & actively & successfully grabbing more power every year that goes by, can you really blame them for feeling oppressed? Can you imagine what it must be like to be an atheist around christmas time? Uggghh!
The monotheistic religions & atheism are inseparably married to each other through their strong, unsupported convictions & plain-faced dislike of each other.
However, no atheist has ever threatened my constitutional rights
or dragged the US into an expensive & dangerous war of aggression. No atheist (that I know of) has taken tax money to fund a program for their atheist organization. And atheists are strangely, strongly supportive of the freedoms of groups & organizations they disagree with.
So I wouldn't call the two as " same".
Atheists, as least in the public sphere, tend to be by far the less threatening .
Peace to all,
;-)

Except that atheism isn't a belief system; it is simply an absence of belief in a god or gods. And we think Christians are nuts because they believe in a being for which there is no evidence, ignore scientific research (as exhibited by the assault against evolution), and adhere to an ubsubstantiated book which is filled with contradictions.
Edit: I think that phoenix_slayer2001 proves my point very well. Notice how she makes many assertions without supplying evidence, and at the end sums it up by saying, "Believing otherwise is pure ignorance."

We (I'm a christian) also have similar beliefs as evolutionist as well. Evolution BELIEVES that nothing became something, blew up and randomly turned into everything. Christians believe that an all knowing being created everything. Neither can be proven.
So, I agree that our reasoning is similar but our beliefs are very opposite. One of us is right.

We all are made in the image and likeness of God, for some it takes time for them to learn of God. because these types are in need of evidence of God. God can give all the evidence that you need, but he won't. God freed the Jews, and done all kinds of miracles in from of their eyes many times, and feed them bread out of the sky, part the red sea, and still they did not believe.

Well if your referring to Evolution, or the Big Bang...I would suggest that there is a tremendous amount of evidence to support both theories.
I have seen absolutely no evidence to suggest there is a supernatural power in the universe.

One difference though:
Atheists have no future beyond the grave. True Christians can't wait for their final destination.
