People who say this often refer to Bible verses that supposedly say that women cannot have authority over men, and that's why women cannot be pastors, priests, etc. If this is so, then is it also a sin for me (as a guy) to get a job where I have a female supervisor?

People usually feel that they know something, when they feel they've got a pretty good handle on it, or when they see, or experience it for themselves. The problem with that is, seeing, and even experiencing things first hand, can sometimes be misleading. For instance, two people can see the same accident and have to completely different views of who is at fault. I think that knowing and believing are strictly an individuals choice. Right now I know that I'm wearing blue shorts, and a grey cut-off shirt. I also know that I'm telling you the truth about my outfit, do you know what I'm wearing, do you believe me? I know it's corny, but I just wanted to hear some different thoughts on the subject.

I hate the new ten, twenty and fifty dollar bills. Besides looking like someone has vomited on them, it really loses the visual uniqueness of our currency. I believe the US dollar should always remain green.

ANYWHO

In your opinion, which type of dollar would you prefer? (this thread is intended for everyone here and abroad, not just yanks).

Ok, I am non-denominational. In our beliefs, we women are not to cut our hair, wear makeup or pants or anything pertaining to a man. By cutting your hair you are given into the latest trends, right? And wearing makeup is just something of the world and when you truly got the HOLY GHOST you have no desire to be like the world. I know some have told me that it's just stupid to not cut your hair because it's a part of grooming. In my religion, it is used to cover the body. As well as skirts and dresses are to cover the body. Do you agree or disagree with these teachings? Do you agree with the rest of the world and truly think it's ok to do the things that they do?

Ok, here's the situation. I have this "friend with benifits", but I am realizing more and more everyday that I am completely in love with him. I drop subtle hints all the time that I am interested in an actual relationships but he doesn't get it or he is just ignoring the signs. I'm worried that if I tell him how I feel our friendship will be ruined. My instinct tells me to follow my heart and tell him how I feel. Is there any other advice that you would like to give me?

I believe it is English. You agree with me write? I mean, right? Threw/through, steel/steal etc. Not only are words like that mind boggling for people who are learning English, but also the way we conjugate verbs. Go, went; eat, ate; think, thought. What is a language you know that is less complicated than English? I like Arabic.

In light of all the evidence that exists to support that we are a Christian nation – meaning not that our nation infringes upon anyone’s right to free religious practice and expression, but that our government was meant to exclusively endorse the Christian faith – what evidence exists to support the other side of the argument? …I am especially looking for excerpts from founding documents, decisions of the Court, written opinions of those who served on the Court, etc….not so much speculation about the religiosity of our founders or even random quotes (although these are fine too if you want)….Seems like the only piece of evidence that even remotely points that way (and in opposition to all the other evidence) is the Treaty of Tripoli (for which there seem to be several theories to debunk it). What else does anybody have?

I’m not looking to stir up hostility….I ask this with great respect and look forward to intelligent answers. Thanks.
