1. General interest (including tourism) in the religious and cultural significance of the temple helped realise the recent restoration/conservation project.

2. Singapore has various ethnic cultures (especially Malay, Chinese and various peoples from the Indian sub-continent), so "Singaporean culture" is a nonsensical term. This temple is located in Singapore's Chinatown, and is typical of Chinese culture and religion.
