Is it a sign of our times, that we have to ask a question too strangers, hoping we will recieve some sort of an insight to our quiry... Or is it just that we have have got so far away from the ones that we love, that we dont appreiate there view. Families are not what the used to be, we all live so far away from one another. Even when we do live near, the generational gap can be an obstical. Do you agree.

I have noticed that many questioners on this site lately have been trying to blame the evils of the world on 'otherworldly' (for lack of a better word) or intangible influences.

ie. Evil is the fault of the devil, evil is the fault of God, evil is the fault of religion, evil is the fault of the flying spaghetti monster, etc.

I tend to hold to the belief that the evil which plagues our world is largely of our own making, that it is often the result of actions taken by ordinary people, and that it is our responsibility (as mostly ordinary people) to deal with it.

Is evil the result of an outside influence, or is it simply the result of our cold hearts, our weak minds, and our general greed and unpleasantness?

(This question is open to all, christian, athiest, muslim, nihilist, taoist, agnostic, etc.)

I know that not one religious person will admit it, but they would love to do this. That way they could lawfully impose their beliefs on everyone else.
But it does beg another question. If our founding fathers were all so very religious (and they were!) then why did they see fit to guarantee the separation of church and state? Perhaps it was to protect us from the religious extremism and fanaticism that exists in our very country today?

Me? I have truly awakened to the truth of evolution and secular humanism and wiped my eyes clear of the fairy tales and proven falsehood of the so called bible.

No one can ever separate us from God's love, for death can't, and life can't. The angel's can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today and our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell cannot keep God's love away...nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

and wasn't joseph an alcoholic? and joseph was only visited by maroni right? not god and this remained unknown for 18 years before he told anyone? and didnt jeseph question the bibles accuracy himself? also after the killing of him when half followed brigham young, young ordered his "right hand man" to go kill non-mormons in a "mountain meadows wagon massacure" that he was able to escape punishment for from the government. and why is this information not found in mormons's history books? but it has been proven true? if his first "reading" was so important, why did he disregaurd it when it was lost and simply say that the new reading of nephi tells pretty much the same story form another point of view?

please no comments about many wives, yes they taught that but now they say not to.. they changed their beliefs in that and i know this.

As of late, I've been getting violation notices left and right, all of which are bogus, simply for stating my religious position, which is that all religions are false, that there are no inspired holy books, that Jesus probably never even existed, etc.

These are valid positions that are not insults to other participants, they are not forms of "chatting", they are not racial slurs, etc (the bogus categories being chosen, since "i don't like that" isn't one of the listed violation categories).

Why do people come to a nondenominational public religious Q&A forum to carry out some kind of holy war against any positions they don't like?

If you only want to see questions and answers that pander to your preconceptions, there are thousands of Christianity only forums, and Muslim only forums out there.

then how could he be under authority to someone else. If the Father is in charge, then He is the King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Jesus is the Lord of lords. Lord from the original Greek is

G2962
κύριος
kurios
koo'-ree-os
From κῦρος kuros (supremacy); supreme in authority, that is, (as noun) controller; by implication Mr. (as a respectful title): - God, Lord, master, Sir.

Jesus is supreme in authority. or controller. He is in charge. If the father is in charge, then Jesus is the Father.

Jesus is the Father. Jesus is the Son. Jesus is the Holy Ghost, and all these three are one.

Deut 6:4 Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is ONE Lord.
