You could go to the ubiquitous "Spirit" stores, which seem to pop up on every corner around this time of year, or there are some smaller stores with cheaper and used costumes. One such store in Denver that I know of is called Flossy Mcrgrews or something like that. It's on Broadway between Denver and Englewood. If you're heading toward Englewood it's on your left side and you'll know it because there is a bunch of silver-painted foam skulptures all over the front, including a big skull over the entrance.

There are two good ones in Boulder. One is Candy's on north Broadway and another is the Ritz on Walnut St downtown.

Ritz
Address: 959 Walnut St, Boulder, CO 80302
Phone: (303) 443-2850

Candy's Vintage Clothing
4483 N Broadway
Boulder, CO 80304 - 0586

I have been to both of those and they are both very good.

I also did a search of costume places in Denver on DexOnline and came up with this result: http://tinyurl.com/t4sr8

Have a safe and happy Halloween! :)
