There are 3 countries in North America; Canada, Mexico and the United States. Canada is not called the United Provinces and Territories.
Aren't Canadians and Mexicans also Americans?

Better question (and FROM the USA) is when will the US quit wasting it's resources on other countries and peoples that could care less and focus on it's internal problems. WE ARE NOT the police force of the world. Screw every other country. they just use us anyway then blame us for doing what is asked. Worry about ourselves and let everyone else do the same for themselves!

How is the United States of America not a name? If Mexico wants to call themselves Mexico of America then by all means, it will be their name.

Only if they were born in America. Being born in North America does not make you an American no more than being born in South American would.
