Why can't they invest their time in working hard to develop their own country like indians instead of waging wars all the time to seek western financial aid?

I was just wondering how welcome I would be in your country. I'm British, just finishing University (degree in Archaeology). It is my ambition to come and live and work in the USA as I have loved your nation since I was there as a child at the age of 7.

I would of course be qualified and eager to start work straight away, I would like to enter in to the environmental/ conservation sector and get a steady job that would push me hard. I have friends I could stay with until I had enough money to get a place of my own, they are kind enough to see me through while I settle in.

Am I likely to recieve a warm reception? I would be arriving alone and would throw myself straight in to work (providing job already arranged), using weekend time to hunt for housing etc etc.

PS, any blinding cultural differences I should be aware of? Social do's and do-not's that might be different to the UK?

Thanks a lot!

PS, not sure yet which part of the USA I'd most like to settle in to!

i personally think it's annoying if people are "too polite"...i mean i am gregerious and friendly..don't get me wrong but is it so hurrible to tell my friend the truth in the fitting room? is it sinful to not say "thank you" or "i love your dress"? WHAT IF THAT DRESS IS HIDIOUS?? wrrr it pisses me so much!! sometimes people care so much (like my aunt) that god forbid i forgot to say summin...they'll go "say please"...or if i do say summin..they'll go "that's not nice".. ya you should be polite and stuff but what should i just say "oh this outfit is awsome" and let my friend waste her cash on junk?? you know?? what do you think??

Would you worship food? Sports maybe? Why would you want to put yourself under that god-like authority and why would you enjoy it?

Okay so I have just realized I have been mean all my life basicly. I wanted to change because I am afraid God will not forgive me and he will make me go to hell.I feel bad for all the people I have hurt and made fun of and taunt through middle school. But all my friends just say being nice doesn't suit me. They think I am creepy when I am "nice". So does anybody think I should try and continue being nice or just drop it? Thank You.

Tho I am an Atheist, I still find this kind of interesting. If there is only one god in your christianity then please explain, and dont take the easy way out with trinity, because the belief in such varies from church to church. Here goes... Ang god said let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness. It leads one to think that he was hangin out with friends, other gods perhaps? Whats it mean? And please dont try n convert me, its not going to happen. I do not believe that it is real, I am only looking at it thru a point of trying to understand a story I am reading as I would in any book...no offense meant. Thnx

Would we view the Crusifixion any differently if the Savior was a woman? Let's through a hypothetical savior out there and see what happens..

Christina ( as good as any other name ) was the one that went to the people and preached the will of God, Christina was the one that was almost whipped to death, and was later crusified. Would a mental image of a woman being put through this any different than a man in the same?
Remember, hypothetical question....

This burns me up. I go somewhere, and being disabled, have to park far away, cause all the disabled parking spots are taken by a non-disabled person. Do any of you do that?

I have been living in Florida way too long. Even though the weather in the winter months is great, I find that this place has very little else to offer me. I want to relocate but really am kind of scared to do it, not knowing a soul if I go somewhere new. Where would you suggest are some of the best cities to go to check out and ultimately move to and live as far as cost of living, finding affordable but nice housing (rental), work opportunities, single and social and dating life, culture, beauty and some nice, good places to go and hang out to meet friendly people? I am currently researching any and all of the best possibilites because I seriously want to get out of here. Thanks!
